Although Hurts has always been this way, Moore deserves some credit for once again directing an offense led by a QB who really can't throw. That said, I don't see any evidence that Moore can direct a vertical passing attack with a marginal run game.

Right there with you. It's been tough and for the first time in my life I'm starting to lose interest. Perennial incompetence, by both the Ags and Cowboys, has sucked the fun out of being a football fan.

As for the Cowboys, they have no rivals. Years ago, I used to hate seeing SF or Pitsburgh make another SB or rack up another title. But that was when Dallas had been to 8 of the 30 games and won 5. This year is SB 59. Dallas hasn't made the final 4 for the last half of all the SB played.
I could never care less about the Giants, Redskins, or Eagles winning. They were perpetually obsessed with Dallas. The Cowboys' rivals were SF and Pittsburgh. In fact, I always wanted the Eagles to win one. I thought it might make their fans less nasty. I was wrong.

I think the Aggies have a better shot at winning it all over the Cowboys in the next 5 years…probably not statistically but I have lost complete hope in the boys. I can barely watch the NFL these days.

That's absurd, Dallas has overachieved relative to their talent multiple times in the last 30 years. The 2003 team was one of the five least talented teams in the league and finished with double digit wins and the #1 defense. The 2011-2013 teams were all 2-4 win caliber teams apart from Tony Romo and all finished .500. The 2016 team had one receiver, a rookie QB and RB and a bad defense and was the best team in football most of the season.

2016 team was one ridiculous pass from going to the NFC title game, and the play before that Heath forced a fumble that Rodgers got lucky as **** just to fall on.

Yep. I wasn't alive for the drew Pearson one, but my dad always brings it up. The heath forced fumble haunts me, and is the play that I will always remember from that game.
Yeah, you missed the point. Romo is the only thing that made many of those teams watchable. But I'm only referring to good teams. I don't consider being mediocre when you were supposed to be terrible.

We do know that it REEKS of bad process to fart around for eight days with a head coach who needs a new contract, fail to retain him after missing an interview window for coveted candidates, bring in two former head coaches who are not in high demand, one outside assistant you already have a relationship with and *then* choose the guy down the hall who a) is not drawing interest elsewhere b) has not been a head coach c) has not called plays for you and d) has had mixed results when he has called an offense in the past.
It's not to say Schottenheimer can't be a success, or that he's not a good dude. Just that the process of getting to him feels neither thorough nor inventive, which doesn't (and shouldn't) inspire confidence. Especially since the people running this process would have you believe this is a desirable job.

Expectedly ridiculous process yields expectedly underwhelming hire.
Just truly amazing that they went thru week 17 with no plan and no real idea of what they were going to do, from retaining the current coach to how they'd find a replacement.
So would this be the example of not all in?
