I'm at 100 days on two non amnesty eform1s.

Called last week and was told "just waiting on the fbi background check".

I have 10+ tax stamps but they need to run a background check again. Just in case I'm suddenly a terrorist.

I fee very safe and protected by our federal institutions. They are the best. Has anyone floated the idea of letting these pros take charge of our healthcare too?

I held a Top Secret security clearance for over a decade, and a Secret one before that, and I was employed as a police officer when I sent in my eForm1 last year.

322 days and counting.

"FBI background check" is a joke.

I'm on 428 days for one can. Took 270ish days for a denial. Shop uploaded the wrong pdf. Even though serial # was right, background check passed, fingerprints done etc and all that was needed was the correct PDF with can info: too bad, so sad, back of line and try again.

So I had to redo it and still dont have my can almost 15 months later.

Did you or your shop try emailing the examiner? I know some people have had luck sending remedying documents to the denying examiner

I need to submit a Form 1 for an SBS, but I haven't done one in a couple of years and the fingerprint thing is throwing me off. Last time I did it, I had to mail it in. How do I go about submitting them on an e-file?

Yes. It was straightforward and painless. Did the 1 shot trust. About to do two form 1s and another can through them

You fill out and submit the eform. When the eform is in "in process" status (sometimes it will get hung up in "pending research" status at first), the ATF emails you a cover letter. You go to a document business that handles fingerprint cards, or a police station, get 2 copies of the cards made. Mail the cards and a copy of the cover letter in to the ATF within 10 business days of receipt of the cover letter to the address listed on the cover letter.

I rolled mine at home on the designated cards and mailed them

I just hit 30 days on a e-Form 1 submitted through SilencerShop. How long should I wait until reaching out to the ATF? It seems like most other times are in this neighborhood or shorter recently.

This is still where it shows up on the ATF eForms site:

I'm now over 100 days. I think Bender had one stuck as well. Good luck.

Yeahhh, this was prompted by an IG story by SilencerShop that showed someone's SBR Form 1 took 7 days (5/11 to 5/18).

Yep, still have two pending from Jan.

It appears to be random. I submitted one on 2/5 that is still not approved. Submitted a second one on 3/8 that was approved a few weeks ago.

Given my recent experience where I had one that was approved, but where the approval never made it from ATF back to the vendor, I will be calling early and often from now on. If you are beyond the times you are seeing others get approvals for the same Form, give them a call. It can't hurt and just takes a few minutes.

Nice. I keep thinking I need to buy the Mini but then remember that I told myself I'd buy a thermal first. I'm on a buying freeze right now, though, as I'm building a house and getting all new furniture. Unless I see a good deal on an SP5….

Question for Form 1's is it worth paying silencer shop 50 bucks? How hard is it to submit yourself? I already have all my trust docs and stuff and know I can do fingerprints but how do you go about the rest? Thanks!

I've only done it once and it took some time, but it's just an electronic form on the internet. Not hard, but I do think the silencershop form 4s I've done were less time consuming.

Got mine Friday. 290ish days.

I submitted another three weeks ago and saw on that Reddit thread some folks were getting multiples at a time. Some people were emailing the examiner after they got the first and thanked them and also asking "hey, BtW I submitted this one too" and the examiner was able to pull that next one and approve it bc they had everything on front of them (back ground check I'm assuming).

Anyone heard of this? How do I find out who my examiner was? It's not on the approval form.

Sorry, but I'm not harassing some ATF agent just so I can kiss their ass for a stamp. Submitting any government form takes a long time to get done. We all knew that going in, and went on with our lives. It's not worth my dignity to try to expedite it.
