In the event there is any power outage and it's freezing cold, good idea to have a heater buddy that runs off of propane. You can at least heat one small room with these.

I stopped taking pics but you get the idea.
Which HEB? And what time? I was at the Towerpoint HEB at 11am and everything seemed to be fully stocked.

Wow. I thought it would be Friday until full panic mode hit this town. I am so glad I stocked up this morning. Nothing crazy. Just enough to not have to leave the house until Monday.

I don't remember the exact amount but that is the very reason I have always put ice and water underlayment in valleys on every roof I install. It cost about $200-400 more per roof to install but it is cheap insurance.
Cheap roofers skip this step and sometimes it can come back to haunt the homeowner.
I did see snow inside of attics from the wind blowing it through ridge vents on metal roofs then.

We had celery but I did have to buy organic mixed color bell peppers and a 5 pack of onions. Between chili and a big pot of chicken tortilla soup we will go through most of them. If we have extra veg going bad you can just throw them in a ziplock bag in the freezer and use them for stock. Same with rotisserie chicken carcasses.
Quick question on the Freeze Miser: do you attach it directly to the faucet, or to a hose to divert a possible accumulation of ice.
Directly to the faucet. My thought is adding a hose would increase likelihood of a freeze due to having more line exposed outside of the wall.

I just let them drip on the ground. Also since the guts are brass and the attach to metal sometimes the warmth from your home effects the element, so if it's 32* outside and they aren't dripping wait till it drops a few more degrees and they'll start running.
I have also used the knockoff "BlanKade Freeze Protector" which can be bought on Amazon for 1/2 the price. They both work, the Freeze Miser you can get at Home Depot and Lowes, the knock offs have to be ordered.
I seem to lose one or two every year so I always buy more.

Looks like the forecast has changed quite a bit overnight. Not near as much ice expected in the Brazos valley now. Might just be cold and wet.

Every single time it gets real cold, the sheeple think it is going to be 2021 all over again.
Of course it doesn't help that as soon as the forecast shows a cold snap, every media outlet starts running articles about ERCOT. Gotta keep people scared as much as possible.

I would have figured Covid and the 2021 storm had taught people that stores exist besides HEB and Kroger.

Filled up with gas while at Costco so I don't need anything at this point hopefully.
