"bundle up and use caution"

If I hear or read "abundance of caution" one more time.....
"In an abundance of recklessness, we have decided to wait until 5:00 pm on Sunday to decide what we are going to do Monday morning."
Naw. Waiting until Sunday to make a decision on school for Monday based on reality and facts is rational.

With zero chance of this ice melting before Tuesday I would expect additional cancellations Monday. I predict the Big School will announce closure around 8-9 pm tonight.

I was trying to make a joke about the overuse of "an abundance of caution."

Lots of ice on the roads. I hate driving on ice. I grew up driving on snow, which is do able, ice is another matter. Stay safe and stay home.

Have someone flying into iah tomorrow around 5pm and taking the shuttle to bcs….
Should roads be ok to get back to bcs in the evening tomorrow or better to push flight back a few days?

Took a quick drive around Tower Point.
Surface roads not bad. Elevated and overpasses are a little slippery.
Roads are drivable though as long as you have a little common sense.
Having said that I fully expect A&M and CSISD to cancel, they really don't need to but younger kids have hard enough time driving on normal road conditions.
Looks like Our neighbors to the east ( Caldwell, Rockdale area) got hit much harder than we did in BCS.

Roads around Carter Creek are fine. Defrosted the car and took a little trip around. Might see if Tim Horton's is open and grab some TimBits.

Tried to walk my husky this morning but there was way too much ice on the sidewalks to be safe for me. Hasn't been over 30 so far at 330 pm. This was the first time I've gone out front and it sounded cold due to the wind cracking the ice on the tree branches. Kind of creepy.
