Did they say out of an abundance of caution? That's my favorite

It was pretty crowded at 10 am. But we got all the stuff on our list. Pharmacy was busy too.

Bryan has canceled school Monday.
A&M & CSISD said they will announce by 5pm Sunday.
I went and bought wine (and wine only) tonight. Maybe should have picked up a second bottle lol.

Everyone has been talking about the grocery stores. I bet Total Wine was packed.

My husband and I were at Total Wine yesterday. One of only a few customers. Shelves fully stocked. Helpful and friendly staff that helped ensure we were ready for a long weekend at home.

Apparently people in Normangee dont panic buy. I stopped by BB yesterday to grab a few things I needed (for stew & cornbread). Shelves fully stocked. The thing I saw people checking out with the most? Frozen pizzas and ice cream.

Is it worth shutting water off overnight when the temps fail to the teens Monday or so? Right now the plan is just keep external faucets covered and drip interior faucets with the cabinets open. Thoughts?

Temps have trended warmer by a bit for Sunday and Monday, so cabinets open and occasional use should be fine. If you have a faucet or toilet on an exterior wall you can just flush some water through it every now and then if you're concerned.

No reason for the wink face, that's 100% a true and accurate statement

I thought we were getting rain?
I remember that. Terrible. Buses were sliding off the road. It's always better not to gamble with the lives of children. Just cancel.BiochemAg97 said:jac4 said:befitter said:

That was Round Rock ISD several years ago. Made the call based on the road conditions at 5am and ignored the forecast where the storm came through around 8 am. Kids already at school/on buses when they decided to close for the day. But not really, because they still needed to care for the kids that were already there until their parents could actually come get them.
