Cleburne got an inch of rain (per my gauge) in 30 minutes, along with some small hail.

All it means to me is I don't have to hand water tomatoes/cucumber/zucchini/peppers for another couple days.

Yep. Some good thunder, too. Was packing up the kid to head to Baseball practice, and the skies opened up. In the span of 10 minutes we went from confirming practice is on to being cancelled

We had close to 2 inches fall in 30 minutes in Arlington.

The maximum rainfall intensity that storm water systems have to be designed to in the DFW area is 4 inches per hour. So that 30 minute span was right at the max ever expected rainfall intensity.

Had no idea about that... Seems like an arbitrary number but I'm assuming a bunch of smart folks came up with 4 inches for a reason
