Something popped out of nowhere around downtown Dallas and just spread up to here in Lochwood. Not sure what direction it's heading. Lots of thunder.

What about this morning? On my way to work I heard Brad Barton mention storms as early as 9AM which I wasn't expecting. I thought we were getting early afternoon storms. Everything so unpredictable this time of year!

Yesterday evening's storm caught me so unprepared that all I could do was put some big bags of potting soil on the most exposed parts of the vehicle that wasn't in the garage. Luckily the hail didn't get over nickel-size or so.

I know things are going to start kicking off around 1500ish to the NW but main DFW should hold out till sometime around 1600. That 1600-1800 block is probably what is going to be the gnarliest for everything west of Rockwall.

Been trying to plan around it myself since yesterday and this is the latest I have so far

At 250 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Newport, or 8 miles west of Bowie, moving southeast at 45 mph.

Tornado on ground southwest of Bowie; Decatur in its path. 58,000 foot tall storm!

ETA: reported to possibly be multi-vortex
