I guess I didn't realize he's only 5'8. He may put on some weight and muscle up, but he's never going to be a physically-imposing player.

Don't buy that. Alexis has done just fine in England. I think the size requirement is overdone.
True, but it's not the size so much as the mentality to handle the physicality. And, the league doesn't seem to be as rough and tumble as it used to be.
I do believe that. Mentality to handle physical play is very important but that has nothing to do with how big or muscular a player is. I'm sure Alexis and Messi get hacked constantly when they play in CONMEBOL. We've already seen it happen to Pulisic in CONCACAF. Who knows if Pulisic has the mentality to overcome that but you don't really know until you put him in that situation for an extended period of time and see what happens.

Disappointed the game is not on tv anywhere. While not the greatest player in Manu history by any means I have always enjoyed watching Carrick play as much as any other player over the past 10 years. He played the game right. Gave it his all. Will be missed. Glad he will remain a part of the organization.

Why are they so keen on Carrick vs Giggs? Is it a willingness by Carrick va Giggs wanting an immediate head coaching role?

I highly doubt it has much of an impact. Mourinho made Faria, not the other way around. And if there's anything we know about Jose it's that he has a strong enough will to do whatever the hell he wants when it comes to his team or his style. I wouldn't expect a change in his approach. I think this is more about Faria ready to test himself as a #1.
