I like Sancho, but that's about it right now. Rashford's regression has been pitiful. It's a shame his injury recovery was so poorly mismanaged, but mentally he looks completely done.

I checked out at 2-0. I've discovered that watching this team has put me in a perpetual state of anger that lasts for at least an hour or two after I've stopped watching them. And I have no desire to willing spend half of my day angry. I'll still try and watch the next game but I will not hesitate to turn it off if/when we start to **** the bed. This team has literally made watching them hazardous to my mental health.

After 10 years of crap it's certainly no guarantee that he'll succeed but...I'd be lying if I didn't say this hire didn't bring some hope for something better. And given the state of things that's a feat in and of itself. It will take a while and let's hope the club and the fans give it to him. While I don't think we expect miracles next season or this summer, it's a positive that this is announced now in April rather than mid-June. This hopefully gives us a greater chance at success during the upcoming transfer window.

Congrats guys. I think he'll do well for y'all.

I found it really interesting that he's independently wealthy outside of soccer, so he really doesn't have to put up with BS… for a club that's been plagued by poor management at the top, having a guy who isn't afraid to get sacked and just coaches for the love of the game is going to be a breath of fresh air.

I think the proof will be in the pudding this summer. If United holds on to aging stars and signs a couple more older big names then we know ETH isn't really making the calls. But if they actually trim some of the older players and bring in younger players that fit a style and a purpose, then I will have some hope that things are changing for the better.

Sounds like Mitchell van der Gaag was offered the manager position at Ajax (or at least asked if he was interested) but has decided to come with ten Hag to Manchester. Steve McClaren will also reportedly be on the staff. Van Persie can't make the move as he can't get a work permit due to Brexit.

The good news is that a lot of those aging stars/players are virtually guaranteed to move on (Pogba, Matic, Lingard, Mata, etc.) because they are either out of contract or have already announced their departure. Some of the other older players that likely shouldn't be on the roster next season may not be movable. But agreed on the incoming transfers part. If they aren't targeting virtually ever position but especially midfield with the right type of player, then we'll know it's more of the same.
