Just got done watching extended highlights. Some sick goals in there. Pogba at his best. All five goals were freakin solid.

Side note Ayling's goal was badass. Maybe best of the day.

Yeah that goal was just a really unfortunate deflection. Not sure what Fred or DeGea could have done there. Probably should have one on that free kick scrum on the touch line. Unfortunate the ball never crossed the line anyway, but should have gotten a better header on it. Feel like Cavani would have buried that. It's one of the things this squad misses when he doesn't play.

Yeah, and Martial has been invisible. This game is screaming for Cavani. Not sure if he is available yet or not.

We could have scored 3 in the first half. The goal was a Craig Pawson special. Bruno was fouled. It was a charge from behind and Pawson let it go. That's a foul in most every other league.

Instead, they score and Bruno got a yellow for dissent

Cavani is still in isolation. Sancho is still on the bench. Martial had been invisible. I would take him off and put Sancho or Lingard in at RW and move Greenwood to the 9.

I bet we see that move at 60'.

As I said a Pawson special. I cringe when I see him. He's just inconsistent.

Yep. Pretty deserved draw for both teams.

It's kind of funny how a team with Bruno, Pogba, Sancho, Cavani, Rashford is effectively going to live or die by the play of....Fred.

When Fred plays well, we usually play well. When Fred plays poorly, we usually look like poo. Fred was very not good today and as a result, we had no midfield. Like none. Situation was exacerbated by McTominay's absence since Matic just too old and slow at this point but even when McTominay plays, the spotlight is on Fred. Mostly because McTominay doesn't give you the wild swings in performance that Fred does.

Anyway, that's a problem. Because Fred is way too inconsistent and has way too many games where he's just not good for you to play him 35 league games and expect to win a title. Desperately need some better/more options at center mid.

Thought this was an excellent summary of the enigma that is Fred and one that makes a lot of sense. He's far too crap for us to achieve what we want to achieve but man we are often complete crap w/o him.

That was a match that just confirmed that this team and even Ole aren't ready to challenge Chelsea or Man city for the title.

Pereira goes on loan to Flamengo with no option to buy...so we get to do this all over again next summer.

Williams goes on loan to Norwich who will pay a small loan fee as well. He should get some opportunities there. If he succeeds, it's likely bye-bye to Alex Telles next season. Or at least it should be.

That draw may be a blessing in disguise. I'm really hoping they pull the trigger on Sal Ñguez, which after this weekend how can you not see that help is still needed. SN would really help the midfield and breakup the McFred pairing and ensure Matic sees the pitch in short bursts only.

McTominay had "minor" groin surgery. Sounds like he might only miss the Wolves game as the international break starts right after but I'm a little skeptical.

United doesn't seem likely to add central mid in this window so everyone buckle up for Matic and a heavy dose of Fred.
