Good attacking style this half. Direct sometimes, pull it back and drag West Ham upfield sometimes, quick passing, early crosses.

Yeah, I am confused why that was a penalty. It started several feet outside the box.

I know the rule is that if it starts outside the box and continues into the box, it's a penalty (which I think is debatable if that should be the rule)

But this looked more like the foul was completely outside the box and Timber fell into the box.

I'm getting really tired of the injuries. That said, we have possibly our easiest stretch of EPL games between now and the international break. If we were gonna be down MO & Rice at the same time this is the best stretch to do it. Zubi with 2 of Merino, Eze & Nwaneri should be ok. If we can get Havertz back before the break, I wouldn't mind a pseudo 4-4-2 with Zubi/Merino base and Havertz in a SS type role on the right.

It was an ugly, hectic, and wide open game. Neither team really concerns me, based on today's match.

That is not what Arteta said that about the Odegaard injury, at least not in the clip I saw. Arteta said he had an abrasion and that Odegaard "was not positive about it."

I think you can interpret that as Odegaard thinks it is a bad injury or you can interpret it as Odegaard was just upset about it or Odegaard didn't know if it was bad or not.

Not trying to be pedantic or overly hopeful, but I don't think Arteta was trying to say he knew or necessarily thought it was a bad injury.

We have a prime opportunity to win the league. Liverpool is aging and lacks depth on D and the O relies too much on Salah (who has AFCON this year). They will drop points. Gotta use our depth and find a way to get 3pts every chance we can.

Hopefully this is just a grade 1 tear. His knee did not flex too much when it occurred but he could have made it worse trying to play. Obviously not a full tear but could be 4 to 8 weeks of rehab if Grade 2.

The good thing is the MCL usually heals well as long as no other Ligaments are injured. But who knows how he responds to treatment.

BBC also ran a story about it; gives a little more legitimacy to it.

More seats would be nice, it would make it easier to find tickets and hopefully will add to the atmosphere. It would kind of suck to play away from home when we're really good but that might be necessary.

Lots of debate going about the stadium atmosphere right now amongst the fanbase, too. Hard to have a good feel for that from across the pond.
