Nwaneri for Rice is a must here.

Rumors of Martinelli's demise might have been overstated.

Seems about right. Frustrating game but it won't decide the league.

Feels like the league is already gone even though its not. Liverpool have some insane plot armor. They've won all their games scoring in the 85th minute or later this season except for yesterday.

Its so frustrating that we got a ridiculous start with away games to United, Anfield and Newcastle plus a home game against City in the first 6 matches. Then add in the injuries to Odegaard, Saka and Saliba to start the year

I look at that and take the positive outlook and I like our position on the table with all of that bs. We dominated Man City for most of the game but couldn't finish and we gave up a cheap goal. Plus Donnarumma was really good today. The midfield needs some work but I'm still as hopeful as I was at the start of the season.

I'd also like to think that Liverpool comes back down to Earth.

Frustrating but pretty amazing to watch us keep Man City in a defensive shell for pretty much an entire game.

I think we've got to try Zubimendi/Rice-Odegaard-Eze in the midfield and see if that can unlock the goals, because I know we have goals in us but we're just not seeing them all quite yet

Keep the faith Gooners! We're going to get better as new additions get more comfortable. Liverpool luck will level out as season progresses. Arsenal defense is better and will be the difference at season end.

We just don't need Rice, zubi, and Merino as the starting midfield ever again.

That's what is so frustrating to me. If we have an Odegaard or Eze or Nwaneri starting centrally today or even at Anfield, we probably win those games.

Eze should play the 10 if Odegaard is not fit. I love Nwaneri but not yet the play maker we need

We've had a significant injury in every single PL match this season.

United-Havertz
Leeds-Odegaard, Saka
Liverpool-Saliba
Forest-Odegaard
City-Noni

The Odegaard injury is the only one that doesn't concern me since it was a contact injury. The rest aren't, and I don't understand why those keep happening to us. Maybe they happen at the same rate for all teams, but it doesn't seem like it.

Saliba was trauma based as well since it was a rolled ankle.

Havertz and Noni both appear to be non-contact knee injuries (although I did see that they're saying not an ACL issue with Noni)

Losing Havertz has a bigger impact than people are acknowledging. I think he'd have definitely started at Anfield and yesterday. Its requiring Gyokeres to hit the ground running and he's been okay, but not great.

Praying we get Odegaard back for next weekend. If we get 13 points from our first 18 with trips to OT, Anfield and SJP out of the way as well as a home game to City, I'll be pretty happy with that.

Right now, Gyokeres needs very specific situations to happen for him to receive the ball in my opinion. Havertz gives us more options on the field with his Swiss Army knife abilities. I'm definitely not going to say that Gyokeres is a bust but I have some concerns about how he fits with this team right now.

Definitely can't judge him on the first batch of games because he's had almost zero service behind him thus far.

Silva Rants about them having 2 days less of rest for a big game. Good grief

Absolutely and I hope that I was clear about saying this is all about at the moment. Havertz struggled for a little bit as well when he first got here but it all worked out.

This is insane. Between Arsenal and the Astros, I've never witnessed teams losing this many players to injury in any sport. Add in the A&M injuries that derailed the season last fall and I'm about to just stop watching sports.

I'm convinced that the Invincibles made a deal with the devil to go unbeaten that has cost us all future titles.

Agree. I started to make a list of Arsenal guys with long-term injuries and could not believe how bad it has been.
Had high hopes for Tomi and Jesus and look how both of those turned out.

At least when Saka got hurt, we had Noni Madueke and now when Noni Madueke gets hurt, it looks like we'll have Bukayo Saka.

The Odegaard injury should not have been such a hindrance, either. Arteta was just overly cautious with his midfield lineups.

Will not shock me if Saka starts tonight to get minutes in his legs. Would love to see Dowman get the nod though.

Based on Arteta's past, I expect that we start atleast 8 regular starters with the intent of getting up 2-3 by half and then subbing out several starters at or shortly after half.
