Aging Van Dijk combined with very offensively oriented FBs. If they stick with those FBs (they don't have much choice for now), they should probably be playing a 3 CB formation. Except they don't have enough quality CBs either.

I wonder how MLS feels about us bringing in another left-sided defender that can play both LCB and LB. Good thing they got that contract signed earlier this summer.

We currently have 28 First Team Players (Not including Dowman). Dowman, Nwaneri and MLS don't have to be registered because of their age, so that takes us down to 26 registered players.

Kiwior appears to be on the way out, but we are already focused on getting in a replacement in Hincapie.

Other players who are basically guaranteed not to make the squad or play (and at least 1 of these can't be registered due to limits: Vieira, Sambi, Zinchenko, probably Nelson. These 4 need to find new clubs in the next 7 days.

I keep seeing claims that Nelson to Fulham is still in the works

Vieira stuff has gone quiet. Last rumor I saw was Stuttgart trying to buy him but that was 3 weeks ago. If we can sell him soon, we should try to loan him to Italy or Germany to hopefully raise his value.

Last Zinny rumor I just saw was Mourinho wanting him as a #6. There have been links to Fulham & Milan as well but I'm not sure if they are legit. Big problem we will have unloading him will be his salary. He is probably the most useful of the group so I could see us using him as an emergency CM and situational LB until his contract expires next summer.

Sambi links have been non-existent. Honestly have no clue what happens with him. His contract expires next summer. Wonder if we might terminate his contract and let him walk now?

Did something change? In the past it was 25 max with 17 max non-HG. You were free to register fewer if you choose.

No no, I wrote that wrong. Max is 25. You can have less

If there is one player not getting registered, it's definitely Sambi.

Odegaard was picked for the Norway squad for the upcoming international break after the Liverpool match. Not a bad sign, at least, that he's got a chance to play against Liverpool.

Fab (via Youtube) says personal terms agreed with Hincapie. We will offer Leverkusen a loan + obligation. Kiwior deal will be greenlit and Hincapie deal hinges on Kiwior leaving.

Will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the window. It sounds like Kiwior really wants to be a starter somewhere, but we don't want to let him go unless we can get the Hincapie deal done. At the same time we really need some sort of cash in flow.

Hope the Nelson move to Palace works. That would be a solid fit for him.
