Can someone explain how the rockets can get Bosh and Parsons, if they have an offer in place with Bosh before Parsons?

How much less money would Bosh have to take for this to work?

Houston had Bird rights for Parsons.

Houston has to clear money from the cap to offer Bosh.

Once Parsons signs the offer from Dallas at 12:01am tonight, Houston has 72 hours to clear the cap space, sign Bosh and then can resign Parsons by matching Dallas' offer sheet.

All those things have to happen within 72 hours of Parsons signing Dallas' offersheet tonight at midnight.

Within 72 hours of Houston receiving the signed contract. Not the moment Parsons signs it.

Nope. Love will be the 3rd option on that team. An in shape motivated Bennett is still worse than Love, but he has the ability to put up similar numbers to Love in that offense for $10M less. Bennett could be better at defense if he worked on it. And Wiggins will be an Andre Iguodala type player at worst.

It's a deal to consider but I don't think that deal makes the team better and it certainly doesn't give any cap flexibility.

What?!? Love is most likely a 2nd option with Kyrie Glass Irving playing and Bennett is still extremely raw and unproven. He could still be a bust and how does adding a top 5-8 player not make a team better?

Until Bennett shows something besides a makeover he really shouldn't be compared to Love

I'm going to write this post as though Lebron to the Cavs is a done deal even though I know it isn't, but I stick with Bennett and Wiggins either way.

Bennett is not exactly the greatest number one pick of all time, but he's gotten in shape and is big, strong, and can finish when Lebron and Irving find him. Wiggins has immense potential, and he gets to learn from the best without much pressure. That gives you a young, cheap, uber athletic and talented set of starters that will probably stay a little cheaper than it should with a limited number of shot opportunities.

They've got some other nice pieces as well: glue guy and roll specialist Varejao (we're all going to have to learn to hate his hair and flopping again), Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, and CJ Miles. Plus Ray Allen will probably follow Lebron. If they can find a coach, I'll take that team to come out of the East.

EDIT: OOPS. I'll stick with the conclusion though.

Well, yeah. But this all hinges on Bennett getting his **** together and playing up to any part of his ability.

With Love they basically become a younger Heat. Irving is better offensively and about the same defensively as Wade (though he might be motivated to play D now) and Love is a better rebounding, worse defense version of Bosh.

Love makes the team better this year with that deal, but they're again fighting the cap without much of a bench next year.

The Heatles only managed to beat one well-rounded team in their 4 playoff appearances.
