Their inexperience showed but Pop gave the young guys lots of good playing time. Primo played 28 minutes, Tre Jones 33 and Devin 31. Good learning experience.Sports-Ag said:
Booker falls down on his own which he traveled and double dribbles and refs reward suns with a timeout. After timeout Suns make a 3 and don't look back. Terrible call.
Caught the last few minutes and surprise this spurs were leading and in the game. But you can't let them out score you by 17 in the fourth.
Based on how the Spurs collapsed after he went out tonight, we better get serious value if we trade him. Apparently he is our second best player behind DM.Ag Natural said:
Who wouldn't be interested in Jacob right now? He's been sneaky elite on the defensive end and he's really improved his offensive output this year. I can't imagine a trade package that would make sense unless someone wants to give up a young asset. Chicago desperately needs rim protection. Would the Spurs gamble and offer Jacob for Patrick Williams? What about the Celtics? They really need a PG. What about White for Timelord?
Spurs have downgraded both Dejounte Murray and Doug McDermott to OUT for tonight’s game against Miami, per team.

OUT tonight:
Murray (wrist sprain)
McDermott (ankle sprain)
Poeltl (concussion protocol)
Landale (concussion protocol)
KBD (reconditioning)
Collins (reconditioning)
According to Marc Stein, multiple teams are interested in Jakob Poeltl including Chicago & Toronto. - He notes that the Spurs are looking for a 1st Round Pick and a "quality player" in return#PorVida

One theory in circulation: The Spurs would be more open to moving Poeltl had Gregg Popovich already broken the league's all-time record for coaching victories. Popovich remains seven shy of passing his pal Don Nelson's 1,335 career wins.

Spurs blew out the Rockets again. Collins had a really nice debut. Looked pretty promising after not playing for almost 2 years. 10 pts 7 reb

Per source, the #Spurs have interest in both #Pacers bigs, Sabonis and Turner. Have discussed multiple frameworks with Indiana, but nothing imminent right now. Just another team to watch ahead of the deadline.

The Pacers are trading Domas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lamb to Sacramento for Tyrese Hailburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson, sources tell ESPN.

Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb, not Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lamb's clone.LawHall88 said:Enzo The Baker said:

Too bad the Spurs wont make a move for Beal since hes out for the year anyway, it should only help them get a better pick in this years draft...bc i assume Washington would demand this years pick as part of a kings ransom.
The Utah Jazz are acquiring guard Portland’s Nickeil Alexander-Walker and the Spurs’ Juancho Hernangomez in a three-way deal, sources tell ESPN. The Spurs gets guard Tomas Satoransky and a second-round pick, and the Blazers get Joe Ingles, Elijah Hughes and a second-round pick.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) February 9, 2022
Ingles -- out for the season with a torn ACL -- leaves as an expiring contract in the deal, but don't rule out a future return to the Jazz. He's a free agent this summer. Spurs, Blazers get more draft assets and expiring deals to set up the summer -- and perhaps more at deadline.

The Spurs brought back Bryn Forbes last summer for $4.5 million. They (essentially) traded him for two future second-round picks and $2.3 million.

Seems like a decent enough investment.
