It looks like it is likely the Spurs will not be in a lottery position better than 8th.
Of course the earlier pick would be better but this draft is really deep. The top 3 picks are pretty easy to pinpoint but after that it is anybody's guess. In my opinion, this is a good draft to have multiple picks. With 3 picks 8-20, the Spurs should get some good players.Enzo The Baker said:

He is definitely playing on a different level. He is being aggressive and looking to shoot the ball every time down the floor. He is making much better decisions which probably means he's not overthinking it like he used to. He is super confident right now and I'm glad to see it.Guitarsoup said:

On another note, anybody think that they will try to trade McDermott? With the way Richardson is playing I just don't see them holding onto him.

Would be about right for Pop to push these guys into a meaningless play in game instead of hitting the lotto and a genuine chance to improve.
Primo is logging serious minutes. Keldon is our second leading scorer. Even Wieskamp is getting minutes and he really shouldn't be right now. God forbid we allow our young team to play to whatever level they're capable of.FTAG 2000 said:

I just don't think tanking guarantees you anything. Even among the consensus top guys there is no sure fire star player. And that's if you can get top 4. Picks 5 through 14 are all a crap shoot if you ask me. You have a better shot at developing Keldon, Primo, DJ or Devin into upper tier players.

Sure nothing is guaranteed.
But if those guys need these last eight games to develop into upper tier players I'm sure we can wait.

Losing to Memphis moves the spurs back out of the 10 spot. What a painful missed layup by Keldon
