Still some interesting players left, including several international players that could stay overseas for a year or two.

E.J. Liddell
Christian Koloko
Kendall Brown who could really be a candidate to play all year in the G-League
Jaylin Williams

The more I see about him, I love this pick.

This guy is boring but a good scouting report.

Koloko and Williams gone. I'd love for Liddell to fall to us.

Assuming we stay pat with no trades, I wonder if we go after Ayton. Detroit traded for Duren. Seems less likely they'd go after Ayton.

There went Procida. I think Lidell would be a solid pick. We could still use a another PF.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a C here though. There a few International big men left that they could stash.

Future second rounder and cash considerations.

Yeah I saw it after I posted. Makes sense. They weren't going to be able to keep all 4 picks.

Well, I think it was a pretty good night. Didn't get everybody I wanted but that's why I sit here on a computer and they get paid to know basketball.

Have a good evening everyone!

Love what we did tonight. Surprised that we kept all 3 picks. That's actually encouraging. Shows that we like the picks we made. Also like that we are embracing the youth movement.

Let's see what we can do with our cap space in FA. Do we sign contributing players or collect bad contracts for draft capital? If we can turn McBuckets and JR into picks, that would be gravy.

Hate Wesley pick. Oils have gotten jovic.

Two out of three not bad but damn that kid was there. Samanic scare them away?
One scouting report

Jovic is 6-foot-11 and can pass but everything else about him is more hypothetical. He projects to be a sub par defender and he doesn't have a history of being a sharpshooter.

We can teach shooting. Don't care about D, he'd be a good bench guy to come in and shoot. Basically a bertans clone
The Spurs care about D.

branham was a ****ty defender in college. His drafting invalidates your argument. Talented, but he was comically bad as a defender last year

I'll have to take your word for it because I don't watch alot of college basketball. The scouting report says he is a good defender. But is a proven scorer. Jovic doesn't do either. You want him to come off the bench and shoot but he's not a shooter. I trust the team. More often than not, they do a pretty good job of evaluating talent.

I find it strange that Wright didn't do a post-draft interview (at least one hasn't surfaced yet). I assume we are keeping all of our picks but never know.

So many people wanted the Spurs to take Duren at 9 and it just makes me wonder if they have really watched the NBA lately. Centers like Duren are nice to have but you don't spend a lottery pick on them. The Warriors basically played without a true center for most of the year and won a championship.

I love the big men but the NBA has changed and it's a guard/wing league now. The Spurs organization sees that but alot of the fanbase doesn't.

I like it! Another one that just turned 19 in May. Stats look good. Not alot of film on him but looks like he has talent and alot of upside.

Spurs had him in for a workout in May so they were interested even before the draft.

This is why we took Branham even though he was not a good college defender. Hopefully he can be taught how to rotate and become serviceable on that end, but at minimum he should at least be a good spot up shooter with potential to be more.

There is a difference between a terrible team and a rebuilding team. I think they really improved through the draft this year and we will see what happens in free agency. I still think there will be some more trades. Based on what we saw last year, I expect that they aren't done yet.

I think they are still a year or two away but they are on the right track.

That's actually the comparison I made for him when A&M had him committed. Definitely some similarities to their games.

This guy continues to push out DJ rumors daily.

Edit: I will add though that Wos works from the ringer so is more credible.

I'm not totally opposed to trading DJ because his value has never been higher. While he's good enough we can try and build a competitive team around him, he's not good enough to elevate this team to the playoffs by himself. If some team is willing to throw a ridiculous offer out there, you consider it. However, there's just not much that Atlanta has that is interesting to me at all. John Collins is ok, but loses a ton of value without someone like Dejounte to get him the ball. Okongwu is an undersized center with no outside shooting. He's essentially a smaller but more explosive Poeltl. Future picks are always good to have, but Atlanta projects to be a playoff team for a good long while, so not super valuable either.

I really think to make it work they're gonna have to get one or two more teams involved for us to get the kind of return we are wanting.

I think it's definitely something where a 3rd team would have to be involved. And it would be a matter of pick protections after that. I assume the Spurs would want another bite in next year's draft lottery.
