Not sure how anyone can argue our bench is elite. Unless we go get a big in the next 36 hours, the only thing elite about our bench is how bad it is on defense

Atlanta can fall below all of them. Portland playing now.

Chicago just got a lot worse. Philly could make a run if Embiid can stay on the court. No idea on Toronto. Portland only matters if ATL doesn't make the playoffs, which in the East isn't a guarantee
Would love for it to happen, and the Spurs have been charmed with lottery luck.Guitarsoup said:2008and1 said:Guitarsoup said:

Chicago is one game back in the win column from Atlanta. We have to hope for Ewing theory to happen here.
And even if Chicago is likely to suck the rest of the year, Atlanta's lost eight of the last nine and they are out their second best player.
No matter what their situations we want Chicago and Philly to jump Atlanta

Between Atlantas and Spurs picks, we have about a 5 percent chance of winning the lottery and 20 percent chance of top 4.
Regardless of what Atlanta does, and they are not going to intentionally tank, our odds are going to be low this year. I was glad we got the four spot last year, as at the time it felt like a big dropoff after four. When we got Wemby,, we had a 14 percent chance of the top pick and a 52 percent chance of top four. And the Spurs just got better.
So our odds are about a third of what they were in past years. I support hope and dreams and getting in the top four, but we will likely have two picks somewhere between 9 and 13. In a deep draft, I hope that at least one of those works out as either a solid starter or a solid rotation guy. I would like to see the Spurs draft a wrecking ball 4, a big that can provide muscle against some bigs on defense and to push his way to the basket.

Reports of us being interested in Jakob and Claxton. Definitely don't want to do either if any 1sts are involved.

No, ATL won't intentionally tank, but they are actively trying to cut salary because they have luxury tax issues next year. They were trying to move Bogi, but he has been how ass this year, so they are trying to move Hunter, who has helped them a ton.Earth Rider said:Would love for it to happen, and the Spurs have been charmed with lottery luck.Guitarsoup said:2008and1 said:Guitarsoup said:

The Washington Wizards are trading Jonas Valanciunas to the Sacramento Kings for Sidy Cissoko and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Jonas is dead last in the league in paint defense. There are traffic cones that play better defense.AA said:
If Sidy and two 2nds is all it takes to get a guy like Jonas V, I expect the spurs will have a new backup center before the deadline
