I think Correa is about as untouchable as they come.

I'm nervous about it. You would imagine, being one vote shy last year, he should be a lock. But with the strength of the 1st year guys, it might be tough. I give Bagwell 0% chance this year.

With 33% of the votes known, here are the leaders according to BBTF:

Updated: Jan 6: 7:50 ~ 188 Full Ballots ~ (32.9% of vote ~ based on last year)

98.9 - R. Johnson
97.9 - P. Martinez
87.2 - Smoltz
84.6 - Biggio
76.1 - Piazza

63.3 - Raines
62.8 - Bagwell

Last year, Biggio dropped about 4% from the ballots that BBTF knew to actual totals, so if he trends like last year, he should be around 80%. Piazza will likely drop below 75%.

Bagwell isn't making it nor is piazza. Anyone else think THE HOF should be voted on by players in the hall and former managers? The writers are beyond biased.

Yes, the baseball writers should have 0 input. Hall of famers and former coaches should be the voters, and they can not vote for anyone they played on the same team with or coached.

Bagwell the last few years.

12 56.0%
13 59.6%
14 54.3%

If he can get up to around 60% in a stacked class like this then it gives a little hope. Next year its Griffey Jr & Trevor Hoffman. Billy Wagner, Jim Edmonds, and a few others that don't really stand much of a chance. B****, Raines, and Piazzia should all be very close in 2016.

Biggio will be the first player to wear an Astros cap on their plaque in the HOF. This feels really good.

Way to go Biggio. I'll never forget watching his 3,000 hit, being there the next day at the game, and also being there for his final game. One hell of a player

I was there for his 3000th hit as well. The atmosphere at Minute Maid was electric that night!

Biggio gave everything he had from the first day of his career to his last. Well deserved.

I remember there was a kid on my little league team who made his dad buy pine tar just so he could rub it on his batting helmet

The first ever game my friends and I drove to ourselves he hit a walk-off home run against the Braves in the dome. I always remember that because it was the first game I went to without parental guidance and it was the first time I remember chanting B-G-O. It probably happened sooner than that but it's the first time I remember doing it.

I think that was 1998.

May 16th 1998 off of Kerry Ligtenberg. 1 out in the B9th in a 2-2 tie.

You mean the same managers and coaches that gave Rafael Palmeiro a Gold Glove after playing 28 games at 1B?

Would be awesome if the Hall would let him put the Sunshine Kids pin on the hat of his plaque
