I agree the course isn't going to get the sea of crowds that some other courses may deliver but whatever is going on isn't good. Even Sportscenter commented on it as they were running highlights.

For TV golf, the director just makes camera calls. The producer arranges the content. The director just follows those instructions.

Now I was for a few years. And I can share with you that a lot of early coverage is directly related to what cameras are manned.

But this is the reason the PGAT uses for not holding majors in Texas. May be one reason the PGA was moved up to earlier in the year.

There's also not very many interesting or worthy courses in Texas
Went to a PGA event many years ago where there was a hole where some players would bomb a ball into a bank next to the green and it would trickle down onto the green - basically a "good miss" bailout zone. Well, on one shot, some little kid scrambles to get the ball, he grabs it, then jams his hand with the ball into a cup held by the other hand. Major wrestling match with his dad ensues which frees the ball, but it didn't trickle down onto the green like other shots would. Player was trying to be cool but clearly PISSED.
Have you heard that Azinger loves faders in the US Open?
They don't have a shot tracker on the first hole?
