Another poster mentioned this earlier, but there's definitely more patchy/discolored spots near the collars than I have ever seen. I wonder if the big winter storm/deep freeze did a number on it. Those are in areas that tend to take the worst beating in extremely cold temps

Hearing more shouts of dumb stuff after the tee shots than I have in previous Masters tournaments.

Not as bad as most events, but in the past I don't recall that at all at Augusta.

Course has no teeth today. It's almost like they got scared with how difficult it played on Thursday that it would be lost by Sunday and instead it is the opposite. Only four guys currently on the course over par for the day at the moment.

Jim Furyk had a great statement on the Golf Channel prior to the main leader board teeing off. Apparently Rory has been playing Augusta the last 3 weeks with various members to acclimate his game.
He must have figured something out for the first two rounds, so Furyk implied that adjustments were made to "ease up" the course in order to incentivize the rest of the field to make a stronger push.
