I think an unforced error is where there's no real pressure from your situation but you still f it up.

A "forced error" would be like if you're in a really tough situation and you don't pull it off. Hitting it 15 feet past if you're chipping downhill from a difficult lie.

I feel like this has probably been overplayed. Would be curious to know the actual #. They are not shy about telling folks to back off if it's quite a bit, no matter who they are

Hovland's round seems like the kind of thing we have seen so many times.

Someone gets WHITE HOT with some scoring opportunities coming up, start thinking "course record in danger?" and then something happens.

Kinda saw that with Scheffler yesterday. He was -6 thru 11, had two par 5s coming up, only found one more bird the rest of the way.

I can see why they are hesitant to slap 5 before with folks. I remember last fall some dumbass old lady grabbing the OU qb's injured thumb before they played tu; he recoiled in pain.

I can see how it'd be cool to get a high five or a fist bump from a PGA player, especially if you're a kid.
