My understanding is yes
If he catches it and falls over, yes. If he opens the gate, runs out of the park and catches it, no.


There is not a rule that prohibits a fielder from finishing a catch in the stands. If the fielder has one or both of his feet in or above the playing field after he legally catches the ball but before going into the stands without the ball touching the ground or any of the fans then the batter is out providing that he doesn't drop the ball after falling into the stands.

His feet are still in the field of play when he makes the catch.

Outfield defense RF and LF has been a weakness and it leads to CF and SS taking plays they wouldn't normally take. It's a mistake for sure by Kent but let's be honest there is a reason he's taking plays he shouldn't. Lets get those bats going and come back NOW!
