Come on Kent, time to make up for that E!
The good news is it looks like he may a valuable piece out of the pen going forward.Baron de Bastrop said:

its still technically the scorers call so it should be ruled an errorAggieBB said:So a ground ball right through an infielders legs that he doesn't touch is a hit? I guess so in little league.Bunk Moreland said:johnnyblaze36 said:Never heard of such a thing and have watched baseball my whole life. Official score keeper trying to protect the sip "best defense in SEC" claim?
How is that not an E?
A player must make contact with the ball and misplay it to begin the discussion of an error. After that there are other judgment calls that can be made to determine if it was indeed an error.

Why do the announcers and everyone but our hitters know what pitches to sit on? Bear goes hunting for a fastball and swings at ball three. It's almost like they aren't being coached during the game.
Only positive thoughts please!Baron de Bastrop said:

Not for this occasion, however. They've shown them in the booth several times.ensign_beedrill said:The announcers likely are on their couch as well. ESPN stopped sending announcers to games during the COVID season. Not sure if they're making an exception for this game.RED AG 98 said:because it's easy from the booth and the couch. that's why that dude's a studFquin said:

He's got nothing to 'make up'... just get on base!
Yeah the rule says something like "ordinary circumstance" or similar language. For some reason fly balls have always been this way, but grounders at infielders -- no that would be an error.baseballfan31 said:its still technically the scorers call so it should be ruled an errorAggieBB said:So a ground ball right through an infielders legs that he doesn't touch is a hit?
