Did y'all see that damn slider away vs LHH??? Kent had a great AB but no one else from the left did. Maybe I'm the one taking crazy pills.

True. He was lethal for lefties. But Schott is very good to let the ball travel and take it to the opposite field. When Bergevin came up I pretty much was expecting a repeat of Bear's AB and that's what we got. It's just an observation…I'm not dogging Earley. He did everything he could to win the game and pretty much made good moves throughout the game to keep us in it.

Not crazy pills, but Kash has been successful on this type of stage, even against lefties, far more than Bergevin, who probably has never been in this situation.
That's a very reasonable comment and it's hard to disagree. I don't think I saw anyone asking for Kash though. I saw lots of discussion about Schott (I think that would have been a very poor choice) or Jamal (also an argument here as he's had way more ABs especially recently than Berg).

Kash even looked rusty against Sam Tuesday though. I like that he's back for defense, but not in that spot.

I've thought on it more and I wish he went to Jamal.
this is a good point

Kash cranked a ball into deep center earlier tonight.

Kash was who he pinch hit for.

And that was a good ab. The prior gidp when we had 3 hits in a zero run 5th might've been the difference in the ball game though.

I think he's coming around, I just don't think he was better for that spot than Jamal.

Yeah, I know. I saw lots of Schott or Jamal, I didn't see lots should have stayed with Kash. I may have missed it though. The last few pages added up in a hurry with all the usual late-arrivers .

t.u. has given up double digit runs only once this year (to Texas St of all teams)

Not saying we need to hit 10 to win, but they've got a great staff over there. I'm just thankful their closer got 40 pitches on him.

Gotch ya. I was making the case I would have rather stayed with Kash than pinch hit Bergevin. Not sure I would have minded Jamal or Schott pinch hitting. All of those options seemed better than the one taken.

My friend and I went to the game, and it was disappointing to watch us lose 2-1 in the first game of the Lone Star Rivalry. Hopefully, we bounce back with a win in Game 2.

I wouldn't call going 3-3 in Austin (including tonight's game) domination.

First of all. Pulling Prager and putting in moss was completely moronic.
LSU coach head coach did a similar switch in a 1-0 game by putting in the Tiger's #1 reliver. He did not get out of the inning without giving up the second run.

Im OK with Prager to Moss in a 1-0 game with 6 outs to go.

Our bats just didnt perform.

Tomorrow is another day.

Which seems like a long time and a lot of games, but it's 9-6 A&M through 2014. 8-4 if we ditch 2014.

It's good to be in the same conference again playing routinely rather than a little over a game a year.

That being said I wouldn't be surprised if A&M takes the next two the way the team has been streaking.

Counterpoint: it sucks to be in a conference with them and I wish they'd shrivel up and die! No hard feelings of course

Fair enough.
As much antipathy as A&M has for Texas it's still kind of nice seeing how welcomed the two teams were to the SEC. No one wants to show up with OU as their partner unless their brethren flagship showed up with Mizzou and scored on the first date.

Prager brought it. Good to see. Hope he can keep it up rest of the year.

Offense chose a bad night to not be able to hit the cutter. We probably put the most pressure on their two relievers they've felt all year.

I just need a little more hate today
