I hate the mindset of all we need is one win. The hole we dug ourselves at the beginning of the season would dictate that we should be playing to win every series and sweep the bad teams left on our schedule. Unfortunately I think there is only one bad SEC team left on our schedule.

Should have utilized a little small ball there in the last frame. Need that leadoff man on 2nd with 1 out. Freshman closer is really good…. we made the starter look better than he was by swinging at balls; same could be said for the closer, but trying to pick up on a slider at that arm angle is so stinking hard.

Kaiden Wilson looking pretty good was the best thing about this game beyond Royo being awesome at the plate today.

Cool, three sports out of what fifteen so far? I love how your retort to a post stating that we struggle to score in Austin is to say we barely lost…while scoring one run. It's absolutely accurate-our offense usually sh/ts the bed in Austin as that poster rightly pointed out.

Royo going 4-4 was really great to see. I proud of him for getting his head back. Now we just need TK, Jace, and Bear to quit pressing.

Earley did have a few head scratchers tonight with Bergevin being the biggest. And much like the first game against Tennessee, he hasn't quite figured out how to get his team in the right frame of mind for the first game on a huge stage. Let's hope we finish this series like we did the one versus Tennessee.
Don't agree with this either. Aside from Jace who probably wanted Schloss a bit too much, they generally all played well. Out hit them 8-7. Prager probably had his best putting in the SEC. Pen good aside from one mistake.
It was a 2-1 game with runners in play against the best closer in college baseball who we ran to 40 pitches and likely burned for the series. I don't feel terrible even if we did lose.

TK wasn't bad tonight despite that last K against their ace closer. He got a line drive base hit and also lined out very hard to deep left field earlier in the game. Just failed to come through in that last at bat. Jace and others played worse and failed to come through with runners on base.

I totally get that and would love the same as you. I'm only looking at the numbers to get us in a good spot for a tourney run. We still have 2 games left and can still take the series, but all the realistic minds on this board will agree with me in saying taking 1 win is good during an away SEC series.
I think Prager has gotten run support in all of one game this year. I feel like he is so snake bit this year. He pitched a heck of a game. I just wish we wouldn't have waisted his effort.
