Okie State has a beautiful SEC type ballpark and has done little with it. If it were not for Mizzou OU would have the worst park in the SEC, Heck at best mid tier if the were still in the Big XII.

Two trips to Omaha in 4 years, including a runner-up finish. Basically equivalent to our best stretch ever. But at OU.

People's legit hatred of him obscures their rational assessment of our program. I go back to 1987, and he did more in 3 years than the other 37 combined. It's just true. I could go through it blow by blow, game by game, and maybe I will do so on another thread. But to summarize, those 3 seasons eliminated every mental block that this program AND ITS FANS had for all of those years. I got in a 2009 Kia hatchback and drove 900 miles because I believed those guys could dog pile, and I wanted to be there. To see our fan base so quickly revert to being apologists for the program ("this was a great year because we didn't suck like last year") is the saddest, Aggiest thing ever. We'll write ballads for a business grad who built a company against headwinds, but exceeding expectations on the diamond is just a bridge too far. For a brief instant, he shattered that narrative. How quickly it has returned.
But he didn't get out the regional last year after he won the SEC in his 1st year at a new school. Lol jk. We would've made it to Omaha 15 times in the last 25 years with his current rate since leaving TCU for A&M.

Would certainly be near the top of my list if we were to make a move. I was fine running it back with ME year 1, and equally would have been fine moving on after year 1. I do think to his credit he drastically improved as manager in year 2 and hope to see another jump in year 3 so this is a non-issue. But yeah Skip can damn sure coach 'em up.

Thank you for saying what needs to be said. You go back way further than I do. I'm a first-gen Ag and did not become a fan until late 2015 (when I decided to A&M was where I wanted to go). I never had hopes higher in any big 3 sport than I did when Schloss was in charge. Just sad that there's people on this board who care more about being nice guys and how our fans are viewed by others than about actual winning and changing the perception of our athletic department.
