Yes. The prevailing wind is usually from the south or southeast, blowing in. Usually takes a front or line storms passing through to turn it around.

After being light and variable all morning, the wind in Omaha has turned out of the south the past couple of hours. It's currently south at 10 gusting to 18. Here's an aerial view, so you can see what effect that will have (blowing in from right).


And here is the forecast for Omaha for the next week, with wind included. Looks like the wind will start blowing out tomorrow night.

We used four catchers in 2000. Gremminger (sp?) and Mayer were both out of the year, and Brent Moore, our third string, caught about half of the season, IIRC. He got hurt one night (maybe at Lamar?) and our bullpen catcher (don't remember who) had to come in for the rest of the game.

Rooting for UNC. Tanya, Benny, and I visited Chapel Hill in 2013. I'd been considering moving to that area (Raleigh/Durham), but it's a huge, sprawling, metropolis. Much more congested than I expected.

I liked Chapel Hill. I suspect I'd find it pretentious if I lived there, but I was only there a couple of days. Had incredible fried chicken at Timeout Chicken. Michael Jordan ate there when he was a student. Also had Carolina BBQ, which I did not care for at all.

Been to Oxford twice. Mississppi's "elite" pretending they don't live in the poorest state in the country. Give me Starkvegas any time.
