I wonder if any sip will admit that it would probably have been better to have promoted Skip Johnson rather than looking for a splash hire when Augur retired? POS and Pierce are both excellent coaches but sippie has not made it to the finals in Omaha since ''09 while Skip has taken the Sooners there twice in a five season span.
They were stupid to not hire Skip. Their egos, shock, got in the way and they had to have a "proven" head coach. Skip has shown to be a better coach and if he had tu's resources, he'd have won several championships by now. It's amazing what he's done at Oklahoma with how little they put into that program. With Skip, you're going to always have solid to amazing Frontline pitchers and a strong bullpen. And what wins championships?
The umpires found the Branch parents to give them the official lineup cards with their boys, Kolby (UGA) and Kyle (Oklahoma), on them.

They are the first brothers to be starters/opponents in a MCWS game, and this was the final time the two faced off in college. 🥹 pic.twitter.com/e2NvN1ceRm
“I can’t always tell the public what is going on with every single player, but I can tell you this, we had some guys banged up really bad. If people knew the full story, they would be even more appreciative of this group of Longhorns.” -Jim Schlossnagle on @am1300thezone

The Aggies were actually banged up.
Seemed like their starters were all playing. But who knows. But you're right let the excuses begin.

how are the facilities at OU? have they been improved recently? A while back they were considered below standard.
the Sooners' run to the championship series contradicts some of the "gotta have great facilities" argument

That's fair. I just wish they'd remove similar posts in game threads for being off topic. Consistency is kindness.

The Sooner Schooner horse was the only animal mascot I could come up with for Mobilehoma. I spiced things up and gave him fangs.

This is fantastic. I was telling that ball to go and when he got the homer it made me smile and I had tears. What a fabulous moment for Branch and his family.
It sucks when you know this is the last AB. I had to do it with my kid. Every baseball parent experiences it. He hit a double.
