In case it wasn't clear by nausea alone, I was referring to an athlete (sweats a lot) with long hair not shampooing.

That's what blew my mind about baseball roadies to Austin (in the 90s). How relatively few students there were. And TONS of filthy, smelly old men. Unpleasant people looking to start fights.

I'd been to football games in Austin going back to high school. The crowds weren't nasty like the Disch. Note that my last football visit to Austin was in 1992. My last visit to the Disch was pre-renovation, 2001.

My main issue with Ben is when he goes off into his Bayou Coonass routine. He's from Denham Springs... mostly white collar folks who work in BTR and don't want to live there. He likes to act like he grew up with the alligators.

Most of my wife's family lives in or near Morgantown (beautiful part of the country) and so I have a soft spot for the Mountaineers, too!

Back in 1995-96 I was living in Ohio, but I did tech support for a chain of nursing homes with a location in Fairmont, WV. I drove through Morgantown (one city north on the interstate) any number of times. It is gorgeous.

Back then, it was like stepping back in time if you got off of the interstate. On the smaller highways, landowners had elaborate tobacco ads painted on the sides of their barns. I've been to 46 states, and I've never seen this anywhere else. The little towns didn't seem like they'd changed at all since "The War."

I'm dying to go back there and see how much it's changed (or hasn't).
