Having done that personally many times, I'd argue it takes a lot of talent.

Hurley found the sand on his drive but it was very long. He hit his next shot a little fat and the camera didn't find it.
Dumb question from a guy that doesn't know much about the format:

There is nothing better than the intensity of match play in college golf. We have competed a few times in the Collegiate Match Play Championship and even though it never counted in actual standings, to a man, the guys enjoyed the team aspect of match play far more than stroke play. The NCAA got it right when the change was made to this format.
