I'm not sure why he would be questionable. He came straight from NC State unless there is something wrong with credits. I honestly don't see him breaking the lineup unless it's doubles. The one that really hurts is Filip. He's easily #2 and a min. We need him. He came from the pro ranks so I can see that being questionable

prefer our roster but I really don't understand why we haven't signed a player like this. So many transfer and international options. I keep thinking Mark has something up his sleeve but he is sure making us wait!

I do fear we are going to miss Jordan's recruiting chops, but this year we just need one and it's a perfect situation.

Next year, I hope he finds and signs a real
International star. We're going to need someone that can play top 4. Next year we will be fine, but we need to start developing for 2027. Really hoped we would have snagged someone to help prepare next years team with some depth

I hear you. But i would rather get an elite american recruit. Just my philosophy to promote U.S. tennis. However, if you can't find that elite U.S. talent then go get it internationally. I think it is essential. But I also think Mark will almost always put his hat in the transfer portal. He's already proven to go out and get the best of the best via the portal. wishful thinking from me would like Olivia Lincer (UCF) to come next year and win a championship here with 2 years left.

I also prefer grabbing the best American talent but I think we will always have a mix.

I also agree that Jordan was a big part of our success in recruiting but Mark, James and Tommy are certainly no slouches. If we stay in the running for the championship each year great players will come here even if they could make more money elsewhere. Success breeds success.

Warning - sore subject. Obviously, if we ever get around to building an indoor facility it would really, really help with recruiting. I am sure our rivals use our lack of one in a big way during recruiting. I certainly would!

Checked College Station weather online, looks like match time temps in the 50's with sunny skies on Friday whilst Saturday will be sunny with a bit warmer temps. No rain in the forecast. Groovy.

Personally, I prefer winning. There are quite a few domestic and international players signing this year that have been playing professionally, but the only signifigant transfers I can think of this season are:
- Eleana Yu (Tree > Duke back in May; 4 seasons of eligibility)
- Ava Hrastar (Miss > TAMC > Auburn in the summer; grad transfer [1 season of eligibility])
- Kylie Collins (Corndog > Oklahoma State in January; grad transfer [1 season of eligibility])

Ellie transferred and it was obvious she was not going to get playing time. Now she is playing #2 for smooo. If someone like Hovde had come in who else would have left? From a team that won the national championship! If it wasn't Lulu then would she go ahead and turn pro sooner rather than later. Don't rock the boat with this team's chemestry. Don't add someone just because of talent (what us as fans can see). Salma and even Ava had a good friendship with some of the girls before the official announcement.

Mark was trying to get someone to fill it, but he's not one to go get just anyone. He looks at more than just tennis ability. If he thinks they aren't a fit for the team and the coaches, or sees something he doesn't like, tennis ability doesn't matter. He will move on.

I guarantee you he was selective with who he was talking to. Even though we all think EVERYONE wants to come here after we won a natty, players pick other places. We will be fine.

I agree with that but it would be nice to add someone else as insurance. We are one injury away from going from a top 5 team to a top 15-20 team. Worries me a bit. How spoiled are we? Lol
