Esposito was struggling in singles. Had some bad matches and was pulled.

Webb was just crushed by Alabama.

Lot of depth but they haven't found the consistent answer.

Fortunately our Anna > their Alice.

Alice is no slouch. She beat Lex badly at SEC tourney last year. In fairness, Lex destroyed her the first match they played.

Florida and OU are both scary match ups. Probably the 3rd and 4th best teams I wouldn't want to face. OU is playing well. Florida is a tough match up.

On achieving 250 career wins...

Freshman Anna Perelman on the match...

"It feels amazing to clinch in such a big match. It means a lot to me, all the hard work we've put in. I started to play more consistent and go for more shots. I think I did a great job. We all deserved this win.

Esposito played number one doubles and looked great. All American in singles. Made a deep run in the NCAA individual singles this past fall. Seemed like a horrible coaching decision by Jordan to take her out of the singles lineup. I saw Webb hitting and she looked perfectly fine as well.

Happy for Mark and win number 250 in a very short period of time. Did some quick math with 74 losses. Comes out to a 77.16 winning percentage. When you put that into context of playing in the best conference and basically 3/4 of the matches played are SEC matches, that winning percentage is simply phenomenal. Imagine if he was our football or basketball coach.

Incredibly impressive and becomes even more impressive when you look at the back half.

Latest SEC standings.

Last night's epic W put us in position to win a 5th straight SEC regular season championship, but there is more work to do.



Our remaining schedule:
  • #16 Florida at "home" pending weather
  • #8 Oklahoma on the road
  • Arkansas on the road
Contenders hoping we slip up
  • 10-2 Auburn still has to play Texas and Vanderbilt
  • 10-2 Texas still has to play Auburn and OU
  • 10-2 OU still has to play A&M and Texas
  • 9-3 Georgia hoping for a perfect storm
Win outright, win the title, no sharing.
Drop only one match and we are guaranteed at least a share of the title.
I don't want to think about other alternatives.

OU has won 10 straight and are playing much better than they were to start the year. That includes a recent win over Georgia. They will want this one and I'm hoping we go in fully healthy.

A win against Florida goes a long way towards another SEC regular season championship.

I know the team loses some key contributors after this season, but the incoming class is highly touted. Is next year a temporary step back after an incredible run? Or will the team be able to quickly compete? Thanks for the insights!

Six seniors going out, four freshmen coming in... so far. Yoana, Ruby, Rachael, and Kori already admitted and in the directory. I'm sure the coaches have a plan.

I am pretty sure they were trying to get her more, so not sure where that stands. Could also be a senior day with something still in the works

Interesting take. Without her. We are not 11-1 and leading the SEC. Even if it is just one year. She changed the entire trajectory of this years team

Considering she was a late add, and next year is far away. There is time to fight for it. I'm just glad we got her eligible, that was the biggest battle
