I don't think Canada cares if they play #3 or #4 in the semifinals; they already beat both teams by four goals in this tournament.

There just isn't any reason to try to rush a player back from injury in a game that won't have any impact on their ability to make the final.

After winning a bronze medal in biathlon (cross-country skiing/shooting), Norwegian Sturla Laegreid apologized on live TV for cheating on the "love of his life" (whom he met six months ago), three months ago.

"I told her a week ago. And it's been the worst week of my life," he told Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). "I had a gold medal in life, and there's probably a lot of people out there who look at me differently now, but I only have eyes for her. Sports has taken a bit of a back seat these past couple of days. Yeah, I wish I could share this with her."

Plenty of jokes on Twitter about his "making my biggest mistake", and making it again in the Olympic Village later tonight, several times.

Just got back from the women's hockey match. Canadians outnumbered us in there 5:1. But oh MAN, the women came to play.

I don't really know hockey, so allow me to use some basketball terms. We blew up almost all their offensive sets at half court. Canada was outplayed, outmuscled, and out hustled.

This team looks unreal.

Best part was that they played Free Bird after every goal. Felt amazing. Canadians were really nice and fun as usual. See you tomorrow when we go see Jordan Stolz try to get the gold in the men's 1000 m speed skating.
