Got through three episodes, but I am done.

GIG 'EM!
She's brought back into the main storyline, but it's a real stretch. I liked the show, but that part was eye roll inducing to me.AgGrad99 said:
I dont mind her at all. If she was integral to the storyline, maybe I'd feel differently. (but I'm only 6 eps in).

Enjoyed it. Remember, it's fiction.

I'm seeing ads that season 2 is "coming soon" with no listed date.
based on the wait for season 1 they'll release a trailer at the superbowl and we'll get the new season around Christmas 2020.bearamedic99 said:

It does give that vibe. I wonder if we get a Clark and Chavez introduction... with a future spinoff in mind.......

Correct. From some screwy reason, they don't have the rights to the John Clark name. Matice will be the same character, just a different name.

I would be super excited for this season to be C&PD and then next season to be a Hunt for Red October reboot.

That would be good. Having 8-10 hrs to tell a story would let them do the books justice compared to the 2hr movies. Would love to see Cardinal of the Kremlin in this format, although don't know how they could translate that to modern times.
What is the politics of the show? I was thinking of starting to watch, but I won't if it's full of liberal BS.kapon said:

The only part i personally took issue with was the whole drone pilot subplot. Primarily bc it had so little to do with the main plot of the show. So little in fact that it seemed purposely shoehorned in so the producers/writers could pontificate on certain "issues". But really my issue had very little to do with the politics of it (even though it was definitely eyebrow raising) but really the fact that it really didnt matter to the grand scheme of the show itself. It was just dumb.NoahAg said:aTmAg said:What is the politics of the show? I was thinking of starting to watch, but I won't if it's full of liberal BS.kapon said:

I'm as conservative as can be and I don't think it is full of liberal BS.
I just don't want to give libs, who are actively trying to infringe on my way of life, any unnecessary views/clicks.WES2006AG said:aTmAg said:What is the politics of the show? I was thinking of starting to watch, but I won't if it's full of liberal BS.kapon said:

Looking for a trigger warning?
Those seemed kind of forced, I agree. But they were a small part to the overall story. I do like that Greer is more of a gritty field guy, making up for past mistakes. They gave him a lot more personality, and the contrast of his "you work with bad guys to catch the really bad guys" philosophy to Jack's boy-scout approach (at least initially) made for a great storyline.HummingbirdSaltalamacchia said:The only part i personally took issue with was the whole drone pilot subplot. Greer being a Muslim/career case officer rather than an Admiral just felt like a way for them to "modernize" some of his character development. zero issue with that. you have to expect some dramatic license, especially since season 1 followed no actual book plot.
thoroughly enjoyed season 1 and cant wait for season 2!
