Is this the thread where I admit I'm hyped about the 311 tour because their stop in Irving is sans-Pit so I can enjoy my music up close without dealing with the riff-raff?

Eddie Vedder and Spoon. Awesome combo. Not going to Cali for it though.
No Jacket love for this festival? They are my all time favorite band, they will blow Kings of Leon out of the water on friday night (even though i love KoL's first couple albums) but Jacket is an incredible live show if you haven't seen themKevin the 3-legged dog said:aggierogue said:62strat said:man I've never seen a festival list where the name recognition falls off so quickly. I'm a huge fan of the Sunday lineup.
Since it's Eddie's festival, I can't think they wouldn't play a full show, right? 3 hours?
I just meant that Sunday with Brian Fallon, Brandi Carlisle, and PJ would be my favorite day.goadius6 said:No Jacket love for this festival? see, now rock festivals know how to have more than one recognizable name on the first few rows.jrod2181 said:

Good gawd, that is far more interesting than ACL's lineup. Why can't they come to Austin?jrod2181 said:

Saw Modest Mouse with Brand New back years ago at COTA in Austin. Awesome show but I'd say Brand New was better.Jim01 said:
Modest Mouse announced a fall tour but looks like their skipping any place in Texas since they are at ACL both weekends. Sucks. And yes I know they are very hit or miss live but I'd roll those dice. They were pretty good the one time I saw them, but it was overcrowded.

A couple new announcements I'll be grabbing:
11/05 - Toadies - House of Blues w/ Reverend Horton Heat. Toadies will be playing Rubberneck front to back and Reverend Horton Heat will be playing Liquor In The Front from front to back. It's a 1994 through back. I am disappointed the Toadies are doing another Rubberneck show though, especially after they just announced they will be dropping a 20th anniversary vinyl of Hell Below / Stars Above this year. I would much rather see an HB/SA show.
11/09 - CHVRCHES - White Oak
These were the shows at Madison Square Garden in 1987 - if you could see two (2) of them, which would you choose? pic.twitter.com/AwL3SGIdQ3

I'd go to see the hooters of course.Iowaggie said:

Doesn't quite fit the thread but Elton John two nights in Houston and two nights in Dallas announced today for January 2022 for his final tour ever. Had tickets to that last summer at AAC. NOLA kicks off the North American leg.

Am I seeing this right? He's going back to Houston in November at a different venue, yet has entirely skipped over Denver?
