i found some random comment on fb that worked too. Rebelsandangels2021

Just picked up row 1 on mezzanine level, only $54 after fees.

They're playing at ball arena (Denver nuggets) but aren't selling entire upper bowl or behind stage. It's literally like 1/3 of the capacity. Seems strange to pick such a big venue.

yeh I just act like I know where I'm going. Point to my seat and say the row/section and seat number. They figure I've already been down and went to concessions I guess, but if you look like you need help finding seat they'll want to look to help you.
My actual seat was lower bowl but way back like row 24 or something.

I saw that Dead & Company cancelled their two Florida shows scheduled for 10/6 and 10/7. The explanation given was "routing and production logistics", which upon further investigation is essentially code for the venue's COVID protocol not meeting the requirements of the band.

Do the upcoming Texas venues suffer the same fate? I haven't committed to seeing D&C in Houston as of yet, so I haven't really been keeping tabs on whether or not Cynthia Woods Pavilion meets the band's conditions.

oh yeh, tool sold out denver in '19, and their second added show did as well.. but I don't compare anything now to pre covid lol.

Curious about this round.. is everyone jumping on chances to see shows, or are there enough hesitant people to keep some seats empty I wonder?
jorgerr96

So in Texas venues are handling it by saying this: "The Event Organizer is requiring that all attendees of this event must receive a negative COVID-19 diagnostic test before the event or be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Your event venue website will advise you of your event's specific testing parameters. Generally tests administered 48 to 72 hours prior to the event will be accepted."

That way they are not forcing you to show a vaccination card, but it is the second option. That's how they are getting around the law.

In other states like California you HAVE to be vaccinated. I went to a show 4 weeks ago and a test was not an option. Even the Metallica shows in December got changed to vaccination only entry.

I think Dead & Co got canceled because unlike the other sections of the venue, the pit requires you to show vaccination card and it has said that on the disclaimer pop up ever since the tour went on sale, and since you can't do that in Florida, they had to ax those shows.
jorgerr96
How long do you want to ignore this user?

I should add, the only venues in Texas that can't really impose anything are those in state land I think? Hence why Michael Buble canceled his show in Austin (at the Frank Erwin Center in UT area). And of course Jason Isbell at the woodlands but I bet that one got canceled cause he wasnt selling that good there

CO has a digital ID app, which also has vax record (and vehicle registration/insurance, hunt/fish license, etc). TX might have something like this.

That's what I plan to use at concerts.

I don't know.. it's driven by AEG. here is their blurb

https://www.aegpresents.com/health-policy/
"Acceptable documentation may be a physical copy of a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, a digital copy of such card or such other proof as is permitted locally."

I would imagine by most definitions, a picture of it is a 'digital copy'.. but who knows.

I definitely like having this in the mycolorado app, so I don't have to carry the card with me, or find the picture of the card I took several months ago.

actually it appears as though red rocks isn't vaccination required for every show.. looks like just select shows.

You could also probably show a Burger King receipt. Most places don't care. Even Isbell after raising hell to get vax checks at Billy Bob's it didn't matter. These venues have trouble staffing right now as it is, they don't have time to properly train people to do health card checks.

Not totally true but that depends on the venue. Some venues have the medical staff check them, and then the venue staff checks the ids and tickets for the regular wristbads, so at the end if the day you end wth like 2 wristbands (health check and ticket entry/21+).If what you provide looks shady they will double check. In SF and at Stubbs and Emos in Austin they matched my ID with my vax carf. At the American Airlines Center in Dallas they have their own online system that tbh I doubt they match the name on the card/test with the name of the attendee

How long do you want to ignore this user?

You would think at this point with so many situations that require the vax that there would be a gov app that would match id/person with vax card. Fraud is going to run rampant. That card is the easiest thing in the world to change the name in a pdf editor.

Some places are using CLEAR app. I know Life is Beautiful festival did. Clear is the one you also see at airport security. I wish that could happen already but with some states not giving a damn about it I don't see it happening :/
