It's the same crowd that called Desantis a "book banning nazi" for having "Gender Queer", a literal lgbtq cartoon porn book graphically depicting oral sex and sodomy, removed from children's school libraries. Even the most rational, normal, every day democrats I know were wailing about that. It's crazy. Every single dem senator just voted in favor of men crushing women in sports competition and then showering and changing with them afterwards. But remember, we are the backwards freaks lol.
I've never once called Desantis anything of sort, and I'm 100% for banning books in children's schools that depict oral sex or sodomy. So, no, not "the same crowd" in any way, shape, or form, but the straw man argument is once again telling that you don't have a leg to stand on in this particular argument.
There's something like 10 trans athletes out of 500,000+ in the NCAA, and despite what the dumbest senator would like you to believe there are not entire high school teams of boys playing in girls leagues. There's lots of room to develop reasonable policies around this (let young kids play whatever, find ways to evaluate if an athlete has a competitive advantage due to physical development in certain age groups, draw a line for scholarship athletes at a certain level, etc.), but instead of even trying to even have those discussions it's become this massive polarized issue that literally decided some elections while being something that affects almost no one. And even if you might not agree with my specific take on that, it's dumb to think that I or anyone else wants physically developed men playing women's sports because some senators voted that way.
You can apply 'the same crowd' in dozens of ways to make anyone sound stupid and extreme, but most people's views are far more complex and nuanced than that. And the more distracted people are fighting amongst themselves the less attention they pay to what's going on with the people actually pulling the strings.

I have boys. My boys are absolute muscled up beasts. If you think my boys should be able to compete in competitive sports against your daughters you should have the state take your kids away from you. My 16 year old benched 260 last week.
Reality is lost on libs. Get a ****ing clue. JFC what is wrong with y'all.???
I dont know what's in your pre-workout, but you should probably cut back a little.
Society has become so crazy that EVERY GOP senator voted against letting 6 year olds play soccer with their friends. Almost like you can paint either view as extreme and there's room for something in the middle. It's the cultural and political implications. Society has become so crazy that EVERY Democrat senator is in favor of men kicking women's asses in sport and changing and showering with them. The most recent dem scotus appointee thinks only a biologist can define what a woman is. It's insanity. The fringe became the mainstream on the left and dudes like Bill Maher are freaking out over it.
It's not about the rarity of men in women's sports, it's about the wide scale acceptance and support for it on the left.
I care about what things will be like in 10 yrs when my 4 yr old daughter is 14. Will things be even crazier and more absurd??? Or will modern leftists realize they went too psycho and self correct?

As of one of the two people on this thread who has actually seen the movie, y'all are blowing this way out of proportion. It's an average retelling of Snow White.
While Gal Gadot is very attractive, part of the reason she is no longer considered the forest in the land is that her beauty is only skin deep. The Magic Mirror notes that Snow White is genuine and kind to everyone and that is what puts her over the top as fairest in the land.
I personally think the idea that how you treat people is important and there is more to beauty than just looks is a good message.

As I mentioned earlier, our politics have become so fragmented that every issue turns into two party views that are 180 degrees apart from each other. Most people don't see the world as that binary and would be happy with solutions somewhere in the middle, but neither party seem willing to do that.

The world you grew up in, assuming you are at least 25, had actresses commenting on politics all the time, at Democratic fundraisers, using their Oscar speeches to comment on politics, etc.Quote:
It's more about the actresses in these roles, the hatred that they have for normal traditional families and gender roles. You have to admit, there is no way the big producers and execs wouldn't have preferred this crazy actress just keep her mouth shut. She is directly responsible for at least millions in lost revenue and nothing can convince me otherwise.

The world you didn't grow up in is one where people just went on that diatribe on a movie they didn't care about, rather than spending Sunday morning with their 4yo daughter, because they are so obsessed with ranting about anybody who doesn't agree with them.

If anything, being exposed to some of this stuff, your kids are going to grow up with more empathy for others and not thinking that seeing gay people depicted on screen or whatever is nearly as taboo or as big of a deal as their parents do.
That, and if you have a problem with two, same sex cartoons kissing in front of your kids, you should have the same problem with two, heterosexual cartoons kissing on screen. Anything else is either hypocritical or the mindset of the religious right trying to bend the world to their morals and their liking.
All values are not equal. All morals are not equal. I'm the religious right trying to bend the world to my morals where men and women getting married and having kids is the ideal. I don't want to have to explain to my 3, 4, and 7 year old kids why two dudes are kissing in a kid movie. To equate that to a man and women kissing is just plain absurd. We shouldn't teach kids no values, and we shouldn't teach kids that all values are equal. Kids should be taught good values. That was obvious not that long ago.
Also, it's so ridiculously rich that producers of content for kids go out of their way to inject gay crap into kid content in order to normalize it as you describe, then when it's noticed, say how dare you make a big deal of it. It is being done intentionally, and then the reaction is called a culture war. Gaslighting defined.

I would give people defending this movie -- either its casting or its quality -- more leeway if it wasn't a Disney remake of its own ALL-TIME CLASSIC that saved the studio and ushered in modern animation.
If some hack start-up did this, well ... that's life.
But Disney knows better and still did it. It's yet another example of the company purposely destroying Walt's legacy.

What do you say to your kids when someone at school has two moms or two dads?
The true answer is that no kid has two moms or two dads. That's reality. A kid is born because of a sperm and an egg. Maybe the kid is raised by two women or two men, but every kid has out there somewhere a mom and a dad.
What I'll tell my kids when they ask is (after the true answer above) that that's not the way God intended things to be, but that we still treat people with love.
That question wasn't as "gotcha" as I would imagine you thought it was.
It may get better in film, but I was kind of shocked at the art direction and execution from what I've seen on them.BadMoonRisin said:

So, your problem now is a musical/dancing sequence? With some CGI/people of color involved?
All I see here is a white person on a power trip enslaving lesser beings - most of them with brown skin tones - to do work without pay.EclipseAg said:Please tell me you aren't comparing that anachronistic monstrosity with "Whistle While You Work."20ag07 said:
