That said I hadn't seen her filing a case with the police long after the alleged incident.

It's extremely relevant. When one side acts with moral irreverence and legal impunity, then incessantly complains about one individual from the other side, it is a syndrome and quite revealing.

Trump proved a simple fact with this trial: if you're being sued for millions don't hire an attorney who does not understand how trials work.

I'm not a lawyer but I've read that her lack of experience also ties Trump's hands in any appeal. I believe the judge advised Trump at least once to find an experienced lawyer.

The first case was a defamation case based on comments Trump made when he was President. That didn't require the law change.

The most recent case was based on the law change which was unanimously approved by the NY Senate and I believe only had three votes against in the House. Based on the comments in this and other threads, evidently almost all of the NY Republicans were out to get Trump too.

I am not a fan of the law change but to say it was done to get Trump is inaccuarate. It was done in response to the Me Too movement.

The case with the verdict yesterday was based on statements made in 2019. It was filed in 2020, no change to law was needed
