I've never seen an EV fire 'start' like that. It looks like it could, if taking a contrarian view, have started as an electrical fire inside the cabin and then somehow caused a rapid conflagration from the battery but really I have no idea how that could be the case. Again, we'll know a lot more when we learn who was the operator of the vehicle, imho.

Setting off fireworks first would possibly explain the smoke coming from the wheel wells prior to the explosion.

You would think that a vehicle would be packed to the hilt with explosives, as a weapon for destruction . A truck, loaded to explode, would have done a LOT more damage...one would think...than what is being shown on the video.

You've mentioned the smoke from the wheel wells twice but I just don't see it. Perhaps reflections/glare on glass? In this video, the "smoke" doesn't move at all for seconds prior to the explosion. Or are you seeing something else?

Once a fire starts in a pile of them, they all go off in short order. If they were all of the same type, they might all be gold/silver/yellow and not all sorts of colors, but they also look different at point blank range in a lot area than they do in a dark night sky.

I know more or less what a pile of mortars dumped in a fire looks like from pretty close due to having done this in my dumber young years. We just did it in an open field, not a Tesla.

All of them go off at the same time so you're only getting the portion that didn't ignite immediately. There are greens and reds that burn in secondary explosions as well as crackler style fireworks that burn white.
