Not really. Morbid as it may be, I sometimes google search for obituaries of people from my past (old bosses, teachers, parents of HS friends, musicians from the 70's/80's, etc). You might be surprised to find out how many people share a name that you previously thought of as "unique"

This is the most convoluted story. This dude supposedly a special ops guy, has extensive engineering and business organization skills. Yeah he may be a Trump hater, that seems to be married to a hottie and has a very young child.

With all this going for him why would he throw his life away trying to damage a Trump resort with an brain addled stunt like this. Really fireworks in an EV ?? If he was willing to kill himself and leave behind a young family, he would definitely have the skill set to come up with a much more effective weapon.

A retired Green Beret would not have made a bomb like that unless it was very last second. Every green beret has to take a course (book is available online btw) on how to make different types of bombs. What was used in this attack is amateur hour

Hard for me to believe this guy intended to bomb a Tesla truck in front of a hotel using fireworks and gasoline. Unfortunately, we'll never get clear, truthful answers on what the FBI discovers in their investigation.

Exactly. The way you would set it up is have the tank 1/2 to 2/3rd full so you have a lot of vapor. The rest will add literal fuel to the fire. You can also add strong secondary explosions by adding filled propane tanks.

I highly doubt he was an actual green beret. He was an intel guy, so probably assigned to the Group Support Battalion or HHC. He wouldn't have been and 18 series or earned his tab, but he would've worn the SF unit patch. It's a big distinction, but lots of the GSB people gloss over it and make more of themselves than they are.

That was my thought too, he wasn't on an ODA team but was support for them.

Part of the mission set is collecting atmospherics in Eastern Europe and civil reconnaissance. In SFQC (SF Qualification Course) you spend 6 months in Basic Special Operations Language Course, Russian being one of the options. I was in the Arabic course. Soldiers/Officers get a true deep dive into the region with instructors that are native to each region.

So the Ukrainian war recruitment effort of his definitely checks out. With training and real world experience in irregular warfare is this an incident of "going native"? Build up of PTSD and finally went off the rails? Drug induced psychosis?

How his social media is he never was front line, he was always support. ODA green berets have very strict rules on what they can post about on social media and he broke all kinds of rules. I have friends in 5th and 7th group, they deleted their social media platforms and haven't been back on sense. He also said he was an 18X which means you are a highly qualified civilian and go to green beret qualification school without any military experience. Rare but after Afghanistan they started pushing this, especially for college graduates.

Also graduated from a military college in 2019 but stayed enlisted, also rare but not unheard of. But by stating enlisted he was likely missing out on several thousand a month. Was probably just in the national guard at that time but who knows.

One of those situations if it were fish I wouldn't eat it.
