This whole story is wild. SR has put his entire reputation on the line running this story. It will be scary to see how it all this plays out.
Whenever I hear a story about some military guy going nuts I think back to an encounter in medical school while on a psychiatric rotation at the VA. One of the patients/vets made some wild claims about things he witnessed in Vietnam in a group session. I was really bothered by what he had said. Afterwards, I asked the attending physician, "do you believe the claims he was making?" I'll never forget his response.
He said, "A few years back we had a patient come in having a psychotic episode. He was frightened and he claimed the government was looking for him. We admitted him, sedated him, and put him in his room. About an hour later, a helicopter landed in that field right there. Several men ran up and into his room. They grabbed him and his chart and they flew away. I don't ask questions like you are asking anymore."

A Q clearance is nothing special. It is the equivalent of a TS. Over 90,000 civilians hold active Q clearances. The clearance itself doesn't mean much without access to SCI and special programs.
And if your alleged friend is talking about it to you, he either doesn't have a clearance, or it should be revoked.
And BTW, bragging about going to LANL is about as impressive as bragging about going to Fort Hood. You know who goes to LANL every day? The DOE janitors.

Back in the late 90's and early oughts, I wasted alot of time playing league pool(billiards). On my team was a high handicap(7 APA) individual that we called Satellite Bill. He did go by Bill, but no one would call him Satellite Bill to his face. Not because we were afraid of him in any way. But if you did, you would have to listen to how he was being surveilled b/c he was a former deep state spook and SIGINT veteran. Black helicopters and such.
Looking back, you would have to wonder if he wasn't a high functioning autist. He could beat most w/ one hand and I saw him take on the entire bar one-handed and crush everyone. He didn't have a car or DL. Team captain had to pick him up and drive him back and forth to all our matches.

Add this am too a couple thoughts; that why would the Army have briefed him, if so, as to the 'Chinese gravitic drones coming off subs in the North Atlantic?' His duties in Germany had nothing to do with that. If he was concerned about the dangers to this country such activities posed, why did he…flee/go kill himself instead of work to protect his newborn/infant child somehow? Why lie about the VBIED he was driving/planning? Why try to go to Mexico in the first place if there is some mutual-assured-destruction about to be triggered by…the Chicom drones? And why keep his phone if 'they' are tracking him? Oh, and why would the fact that he had constructed/was driving a VBIED be a plan to get 'them' to let him cross the border into Mexico?

Agree with you. This doesn't look like it is just as being presented. Too many classic elements that would fit breakdown (especially wife issues and guilt about something) seem to be present. The one thing that is since he gave a date even, wouldn't dismiss the 2019 thing until its back-tracked. The show mentioned he wanted to reach Hannity among others as well as going as high as Hegseth. Now Hannity probably would have the means to discover if something happened May 5 2019 that the UN complained about. But other than that, it all is looking very shaky.
