Iran has a few speedboats with a machine gun

now let's analyze the CBS Report: "indications Iran is taking steps to deploy mines"

so we have "INDICATIONS" whatever that means.

that there are "STEPS TAKING PLACE" whatever that means.

it could literally be a Qatari who has worked with the Americans two years ago telling CBS News that someone is doing something.

This could be akin to '51 intelligence officials' claiming to some reporter that they have seen 'indications of activity' around some warehouse the IRGC once stored mines in. Farcical is too kind. More likely would be some clowns who want to both/either (a) harm Trump politically or (b) make some money off some quick CL=F futures etc.

Oil prices jumped after these reports came out from CBS and CNN. Trump within an hour posted that there is no report of Iranian mining the strait. Then Trump made the post and said we destroyed inactive boats. Trump really wants to calm the oil market and make the point this is no non-story.

As a 11 year veteran of O&G….the "oil folks" chattering generally don't know jack **** about the price of oil or what it is, was, or might be doing in the future.

It's like asking the Walmart cashier what the company earnings report will be in Q2.

Are these the same oil folks that have upgraded the double wide, two seadoos on trailers in the yard, a bass boat, two side by sides and three vehicles in disrepair, with their pit bulls chained up to protect it all?


I dunno but if you're looking for a brand new King Ranch Super Duty with 23 miles, they may be available next Monday on FB Marketplace.

This story has now changed 15 times with the media, nobody knows what exactly is going on unless you are either laying mines in the Strait or actively working to prevent mines from being laid in the Strait. Tap the brakes a bit

I think you are reading too much into what Burgum said. You are focusing on gas prices. Burgum is looking at supplies, as in shortages. Although we are somewhat immune to worldwide shortages with our domestic production, we aren't bulletproof.

IEA agrees to release 400 million barrels of oil to address Iran war supply disruption

The International Energy Agency's 32 member countries agreed to release 400 million barrels of oil to address the Iran war supply disruption.

It is the largest release of emergency stockpiles in the history of the IEA.

IEA members are advanced economies in Europe, North America and Northeast Asia. Japan said earlier it will release oil stockpiles as early as next week.
