it's not that the left and the media suddenly became obsessed with algae blooms, it's the other way around. trump is the one who's obsessed. he's heavily invested in these little pet real estate projects. the reflecting pool, the ballroom, and so on. as a real estate developer first, putting his mark on national landmarks may be one of the only ways he thinks his legacy lasts beyond him.

and just like he's spent years figuring out how to troll the left and their media (to the delight of his supporters) they've figured out how to do the same to him. they know he's personally invested in these projects, so they spotlight the failures. that's what gets him riled up, leads to the public tantrums, and ultimately plays right into their hands.

Comedy is funnier when it has a bit of truth to it. In this case, they did use a primer, and it appears to be adhering just fine. The problem is the top coat is separating from the liner. We know this because the pieces that have come up are blue on both sides. If the primer was coming off too, the pieces would be gray on one side. Something went wrong when the liner was applied (wrong bonding agent, insufficient cure time, improper application, who knows). It was likely not caused by dumping hydrogen peroxide into the pool.

For those who have never had the joys of a vinyl lined pool or pond, it only takes a small cut or tear to create a much bigger problem.

Somebody doesn't have to sit there for 3-days with toenail clippers to execute a xxx feet tear.
