Curious if anyone gave their car fun names. My wife and daughters came up with Carmadillo for our grey model X.

Just went on a drive where there was an accident at an intersection on an access road/cross street intersection. Police blocked off all 3 lanes of traffic and were forcing people to turn right with a temporary stop sign set up. Car pulled to the right, left a gap with plenty of room for two cars in front of me to funnel into the turn lane, stopped for its turn and then continued right.
Didn't have to do anything the whole drive.

I thought I would like the Tesla. But I am starting to LOVE it.
Charging at home, FSD, getting "updates" OTA. Driving a gas car seems like a step down now.

When you lift your foot off the gas pedal and a Tesla it is the equivalent of hitting the brakes.

That's what my electric golf cart does. Doesn't just glide to a halt.

I meant in the Tesla app/car itself. The model x plaid we rented to see if it would work for us was named Deviled Egg. Fitting, just like I think Carmadillo is fitting for a grey X.

For those of you with full service driving, when you're at a restaurant at night, do you find yourself having that one extra drink that you wouldn't have had otherwise?

A breathalyzer isn't going to care whether you have a FSD subscription

No car drives as well or has the tech in the 50K range than Tesla. The updated Model Y is quiet and fit/finish is quite good. IMO, range anxiety is overblown for 95% of drivers.
I drive 30K miles a year in Texas and never have range anxiety. There are superchargers everywhere now.
Drive from Austin to SA round trip costs me about $6.

We have to drive from golden triangle to San Saba this month and there isn't much out there by way of charging. The hotel we booked said they will have a charger installed by then, but I will call in advance and see if they got it installed yet. May end up taking my truck. This is mainly because we have to drive an hour from our hotel to the wedding venue, so unless we can charge at the hotel, I don't think we can make it from closest supercharger to the hotel then to the wedding, back to hotel and then back to super charger while feeling comfortable.

I've heard that Plugshare is solid for route planning, but i haven't personally used it.

Just saw there is one in Llano. We may be able to make that one work. When we get a couple days out I'll start looking to see if there are alternatives.
