The 120v charger to me is only good if you're going to be sitting somewhere for 2 days and are able to keep the car charging that long, but we do have one.

I work in O&G and really wish the debate over electric vehicles vs ICE wasn't so focused on green energy vs oil. Politicians and the govt mandating electric has i think turned a large swathe of consumers off of them completely. Even if you don't give a flip about green/global warming/whatever, it is so freaking awesome to just plug it in at night, have a full tank and save a bunch of cash in the process. Especially in the winter/rain, where you don't have to stand outside anymore to pump gas.

I doubt it. Probably done by VIN since the FSD is tied to the VIN.

I think the teaser videos are for the roadster. Do wonder if they are showing a spinning fan for a suction system or something else to increase downforce on a static car to get the initial traction needed for their estimated 0-60 time

Not sure of the years, but some Xs have FUSC (free unliimited super charging) as well.

It's definitely cheap Model Y, question is whether or not it's cheap Model Y and Roadster/something else, or just cheap Model Y.

Mildly surprised they're doing this much hype for a cheaper Model Y, but also think it would be weird for them to both announce a very stripped down version of the Model Y and also re-announce the Roadster because I wouldn't think they'd want it overshadowed.

I experienced something annoying last night and I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change. I drove in from San Antonio and went straight to McFerrin to work with a student entrepreneur group. I got to campus at 6% which I knew was enough to get home with about 2% but when I mapped my house the car wanted me to go to a supercharger for 5 minutes then get home with 25%. When I had it remove charging stops it confirmed I would be at 2% when I got home and that's what happened. Then when I got home it gave me an urgent warning that the battery was low and I should charge immediately. Seems like it should know by now I have a charger at home and let me go home without recommending a charging stop first.

Anyone else experience that?

The RWD Long Range now called RWD Premium has a range of 363 miles now (was 357 previously). All new batteries across the lineup?

Set your arrive at destination percentage lower, but the lowest setting it has 5%.

That seems like a safety check in case you hit traffic or something.

In case y'all are interested in the differences between the new "premium vs. standard" series beyond range and charging stats, it looks like the standard will have different wheels, cloth interior without ventilation, no rear screen, no adjustable steering column, and no ambient lighting. It also doesn't have Autosteer, you can add FSD.

I feel like I'd just take over and park it myself once I get to the lot. Way to many variables in parking lots these days.

How good is FSD at avoiding potholes and road irregularities?

When I'm on a rough stretch or road, I will for sure maneuver my vehicle in a way to avoid the larger potholes or creases and bumps in the road. I've ridden with people who do NOT do this and it drives me nuts they just go straight on down the road when a few minor adjustments, staying within your lane, will make for a much better ride.
