Landon got paid, his real mistake was not just taking the ribbing and questions former teammates posed for him and turning it into some real thing like he actually cared.

I would guess to be more MLS based players than not since it's the beginning of European leagues. Lots of the European based players are fighting for 1st team minutes and may not make sense for them to fly over for the friendlies.MidTnAg said:

Mexico and the US have good to great players. We are able to play the top european teams tough, but if we ever expect to be a legitimate threat to win the world cup each time, getting the majority of your players over to Europe is part of it. We have made a lot of progress in that regard over the past decade, but the results dont just show up over night. Gotta keep building on it, and have that mindset.
Now some of our players will be going over to Europe as young as they possibly can. Some of them will develop in our MLS youth systems, some of which are producing great players now. They can move over to Europe a little later, but the goal needs to be to go there and to the right situations.

Japan's game plan is clearly to wear Lukaku out by making him play the ball so often.
Once Japan starts to get tired, this will get ugly pretty fast.
Japan just has no size answer for Kompany and Lukaku.
i am not very technical when it comes to this sport and I admit it but seems like maybe Belgium's best chance might be an opening from just outside the box vs trying to feed it within 5 yards of the box

There is a real tendency with teams to some what "play for the perfect goal" which is what you are describing. That's not a bad thing to do, but you do need to test the keeper from range as well if it's not working.planoaggie123 said:
