Still cannot get over how the left side of the bracket is loaded with all the traditional powers (minus spain) and the other side is with the groups that normally don't get to the end. Looks to me like we have a chance of a new player being in the final game and shaking things up.

I like how the brackets played out in that I do expect a non-traditional WC powerhouse to be in the final due to the one side of the draw. Based on how the teams have played it does seem to be a fairly well balanced bracket though.

Argentina and France have not lived up to expectation and I personally think Portugal loses to Uruguay. Disappointed that Belgium and Brazil have to meet in the quarters as that should probably be a semi-final if not a final level matchup. From the other side, I would be happy with several teams making it through...just not Spain, Russia or Switzerland....

I could be wrong...i 100% agree the favorites are over on that side...but I have a hard time right now giving a few of those "top" teams their respect the way they have been playing their tournament...granted...if they play to potential there is no question which side is tougher...its just an issue of teams not playing even close to ability and not sure how that gets corrected...Argentina seems 100% lost...
