Here we go! International Break is in the rear view mirror and we are ready to focus on the sprint to the end of the EPL season. Most teams have 10-11 games remaining, so full focus will be on avoiding relegation from here until the finish line. There are currently NINE clubs at the bottom of the table separated by FOUR points, something I have never seen before in following the relegation fight. So we are in for a lot of twists and turns. Selfishly, I hope 3-4 of these clubs can string together 2-3 wins here and get themselves out of the fight so we have fewer clubs to include. Nine is a lot!

Weekend's Key Relegation Matches
Saturday
Arsenal v. Leeds United (9am, Emirates Stadium, USA Network)--The Whites will travel Saturday to London to take on the high-flying Gunners, who currently sit at the top of the table, with an 8 point cushion over 2nd place City. Arsenal come into the match having won their last 6 EPL matches, outscoring their opponents 19-5 during the winning streak. Leeds, for their part, have looked better as of late, going 2-2-1 and claiming 7 points in their last 5 EPL matches. However, since Leeds return to the EPL for the 20-21 season they have yet to beat Arsenal, going 0-4-1 over that stretch against the Gunners., including a 1-0 defeat at Elland Road when the Gunners visited in October in the reverse fixture. A point would be a pretty sweet result for the Whites this weekend.
Bournemouth v Fulham (9am, Vitality Stadium, Peacock)The Cherries will welcome the Cottagers to the South Coast on Saturday, hoping to claim 3 points and pull themselves out of the bottom three. Bournemouth have claimed 6 points from their last 5, going 2-3-0 over the span, while Fulham have cooled off a bit from their torrid start, and have claimed a 2-2-1 record over their last 5. Fulham's European aspirations have been fading a bit, so the Cottagers will be keen on claiming the full three points at the Vitality, while a win for the Cherries could see them finally climb out of the bottom three.
Crystal Palace v. Leicester City (9am, Selhurst Park, Peacock)--Here's two clubs that did not anticipate being mired in a relegation battle when the season started, but yet, here we are. Both clubs have gone 0-4-1 in their last five, each claiming just a single point, which is why they both no find themselves in this spot. This will be Roy Hogdson's first match back in charge at Palace after taking over for Patrick Viera. The clubs, predictably, played to a 0-0 draw back in October at King Power, but 3 points are vital for both teams as they look to put distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Nottingham Forest v. Wolverhampton (9am, City Grounds, Peacock)This will be the second of our six pointers of the day, as the Wolves travel north to take on Forest. Both clubs have dropped their last two matches, with Forest only claiming 2 points from their last 5 (going 0-3-2) while Wolves have claimed four points over the same time period, going 1-3-1. Wolves claimed all three points in 1-0 win back in October when the clubs met at Molineaux. Three points would go a long way for both clubs, so look for both teams to really go after this one.
Sunday
West Ham v. Southampton (8am, London Stadium, USA Network). The Hammers will welcome the Saints to East London in our third crucial six-pointer of the weekend. Both clubs have claimed 5 points from their last 5 matches, both going 1-3-2 over that span. West Ham manager David Moyes has been rumored to be on the ropes, and a loss this weekend could see his departure from West Ham. Of course that rumor has been out there since January. The clubs drew 1-1 at St. Mary's back in October, and that result this weekend would likely leave both supporter groups upset, wanting more.
Monday
Everton v. Tottenham Hotspur (2:00 pm, Goodison Park, USA Network). Spurs and Everton cap off the weekend on Monday when the Blues welcome Tottenham to the northwest. Everton have not lost in their last three, claiming 5 points (1-0-2). Hard to believe Tottenham have gone 3-1-1 in their last five given the turmoil at the club, as the Spurs will begin their march without Conte at the helm and with Cristian Stellini serving as the interim manager. Tottenham will be eager to claim three points at Goodison and hold on to their Champions League position, looking to duplicate the 2-0 win the Spurs claimed over the Blues back in October at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
There will be mid-week games next week to enjoy as well, but for now, enjoy the weekend!
