Everton had been skirting relegation for 2 years. It's their time. And LC deserves it after selling everyone off for cash.

I think that is a bit harsh on LC. Those players want to play with the big top clubs and get the bigger contracts. They could have sold Tielemans and Madison. Now those players will be on a discount if LC get relegated.
holy cow I turned the game off in the 90thAston94 said:
Wow, that's the kind of loss that gets a team relegated. 1-0 up In the 82nd minute and leave with zero points. Tough loss for Forest.

Bournemouth turned it around and kudos to them.
Or perhaps it's equally appropriate to say that others became even bigger train wrecks than they already were (looking at you Leeds).
Be careful assuming wins for any of these four teams right now. Looking at their schedules, I would say whomever loses today between Leicester and Everton is in real, real, trouble. If they draw it could be both of them.Dre_00 said:
Remaining games of the bottom 5:
Leeds: @City, Newcastle, @West Ham, Tottenham
Forest: Southampton, @Chelsea, Arsenal, @Palace
Leicester: Everton, @Fulham, Liverpool, @Newcastle, West Ham
Everton: @Leicester, @Brighton, City, @Wolves, Bournemouth
Southampton: @Forest, Fulham, @Brighton, Liverpool
I'd say each club has 2 games that will be nearly impossible to get any points out of except Forest mostly because Chelsea can not consider any opponent to be a sure 3 points this season. They probably have the easiest schedule and Leeds probably have the hardest. I can't see them getting more than 2-4 points out of those 4 games and the 4 is only because they'll likely be playing a Tottenham team on the final day who has nothing to play for and just wants the season to be over.
Every other team currently within 2 points of them has a realistic path to 6 points at least (IMO). Leeds really need a draw between Leicester and Everton tonight but even with that, I think they're going down.
Southampton are too far back. They'd likely need 10 points minimum out of their last 4 and that seems highly unlikely. They're going down too.
For the last club, I think it's almost certainly going to be Everton unless they manage a win tonight. If they lose/draw, it will be extremely difficult for them. Forest have been playing relatively well lately and has a decent schedule. Leicester's GD is like an extra point in the table so if they get a result tonight, they'll effectively be 2 or 5 points ahead of Everton. Everton meanwhile have been mostly poor for the last month with the exception of the off 15 minutes here and there. But if they manage a win tonight somehow, they'll have a shot.
It has been a crazy game. It should be 4-3 right now instead of 2-1. Not could be 4-3, but should be 4-3. Wild end to end stuff.deadbq03 said:
I tuned in just in time to see the stretcher and the missed pen. At the risk of over-generalizing based on just 5 mins… it seems like it's going exactly like a quintessential relegation fight ought to go.

What did he do (and I completely agree).

Yeah at this point, I think you can mark West Ham as safe too. I know it's mathematically prudent to keep them on, but man, I'd honestly be surprised if even one of the teams below them can actually go out and get 5 (or 6) points and pass them… 3 of those turds doing it seems impossible.
